I was reading the articles and watching videos on Titansonline. In one of the videos Kenny Britt mentioned that he was very excited to run the 100 yard dash in approximately 16 seconds. I'm not going to pretend I know, so I wanted to ask you guys on this board is that a good time or just so so?

I couldn't find his 100 yard time before the injury so I really don't have a comparison point. In any case, I am wondering if he really will be ready for the season or if the Titans FO just blowing smoke up our a****. I'm sure he will be at full strength at some point in the season, but at what point?

I just really hope we can see our offense this year at full strength/health. I really feel like we are finally building a foundation to have a very dangerous offense!

Given the nature of KB's injury what I really want to know is if he can do all the agility drills at full speed. KB never was a burner at WR but runs routes really well. His overall agility should be a good indicator if he can get in and out of his breaks smoothly and quickly.

What do you guys think of his overall progress? Do you think he's ahead, right on, or slightly behind where he needs to be based on reports?

I am sure this is probably been mentioned a few times before so please feel free to merge topics if someone locates another thread.

100 yards is 91.4 meters, I think. Usain Bolt ran the 100m in 9.58 seconds. When Chris Johnson ran track, he was somewhere in the 10's.

    I hope 16 seconds is a typo.

Ouch, 16 second 100 is TURRRIBLE. Trust me, coming from a college track athlete, you could probably backpedal a 100 yards in 16 seconds

Asafa Powell ran the 100 yard dash at 9.07 seconds.

I think 16 seconds is a pretty common number for training. I think you try to run sets of those. I would think a guy with Kenny Britt's stride should be in the 10's. We know he ran a 4.5 forty.

I think him staying healthy is the key.Getting back to form should be easy for him.

Yeah, see this is why I was concerned. I mean the more and more I read the more I'm glad we drafted KW. I don't think he going to contribute an insane amount year 1, but I think moving forward he will help us out a lot... :-/

You know every I'm really not in panic mode at all. I was just curious on where everyone else see's his progress.

Very few players come back and look like their old self after this type of injury. I'm just hoping he's one that's all.
