Freaking love this pick! Jeff Fisher would have NEVER done this. I'm so glad the Titans realize that this is an offensive league and the more weapons you have the better. Britt's injury problems scared me and I've been saying for a long time that we needed another WR that could fill his shoes when he's hurt.

Also, I hate to tell some of you guys "I told you so." But I said the whole time even if DeCastro was there we wouldn't take him. I also caught some flack for saying WR could be a possibility.

Again, the issue I've had is with people stating with certainty we took the BPA. You yourself admit you don't know what our board looked like. The best we (non Titan's personnel) can say is that we (Webster/Munch) took who they felt to be the BPA.

The reason I keep hammering the point is that their opinion is then contrary to the majority of the pundits. And yes, I agree that if the pundits were any good they would have a job- so I don't get too hung up that the pundits opinion is more credible or valid than the opinion of the Titan scouts and FO. We'll see how it works out. I do think the pundits opinions are more knowledgable than my own- whether I agree with them or not.

But in regards to our dialogue, we have clarified several things. Namely that the assessment the big board makes is different from the Mock Drafts, that DeCastro was indeed ranked higher than Wright by the "pundits" on the big boards, and that the term BPA is unique and confidential to organization's draft boards. For those reasons, I don't understand how people can state with confidence we took the BPA. I wouldn't have a problem the statement that the FO "took who THEY thought was the BPA". That would reflect that the choice was not as "clear cut" and "risk-free" as many people would like to suggest.

FTR- I don't mind the pick. I think we were influenced by Jax taking Blackmon. We are a conference of young developing QB's that need as many quality weapons as possible. It is definitely a change in the way ball has been played in the AFC South- especially with our organization. I agree with those that the pick signifies a change in philosophy and "modus operandi" of our game style. It should be exciting to watch. I look forward to seeing Wright light it up.

"The big thing for us was to just stay true to how we grade the players. I think I also talked about levels to take a certain player. Kendall was our highest rated guy at that point in time, so we took him and we’re excited about him. We’ve obviously been watching him for a long time, and Jon (Salge) did a great job. It really was about Kendall and he was the best player available at the time." - Ruston Webster

I think the Titans went with who they thought was the best player available because they said he was the best player available.

And I understand the logic that "They will always say who they picked was the best"...but I think in this case it's true, because it obviously wasn't a position of great need. I believe they went BPA, and I'm a fan of that.

I'm most impressed with Wright's production in college. Over 4000 yards receiving and 30 touchdowns in 4 years, including a 1700 yard senior season. That is incredible.

That's what he was saying. According to our FO he was the best player available on their board. It doesn't matter if its different than the "big board" because its all based on opinion. We're not dealing with an exact science here.

I like the pick! this might make Kenny Britt work even harder to get back healthy and do well. The two of them will make the offense very explosive. Now lets get us some defensive players and a center!
