Definitely.A solid QB and get three or four WR's out there who can get open and light up the scoreboard. Then you put the best defense that you can on the field to protect that lead best you can.The Patriots,Colts,Saints and Packers are the four top teams that come to mind and if i'm correct i think all four teams have either won a super bowl or made it there in the past few years.

They could all rush the passer too. This defense can't(yet).

Hopefully adding Wimbley will be a good start.

The Patriots, Colts, Saints, and Packers don't have a RB as explosive as CJ either. If we can fix our running issues, and create some space for CJ, we could have a really exciting offense. Wright and Britt give us deadly quick screen games and both can stretch the field. Nate and Cook can also stretch the field and play the slot.

We had some great defensive steals in the mid rounds last year, it will be interesting to see if we can do the same thing this year.

Let's get this straight. I fully recognize that each team's "draft" board is unique and confidential. I take exception with a couple of things.

First, how do those (including yourself) know we took the BPA if the boards are confidential? I don't take exception to the pick of Wright-just the statements that rationalize we took him because he was the BPA.

Second, I am using the term "big board" as the pundits do- namely as a pre-draft overall comparative assesment of the players skills irregardless of position. The "big boards" are NOT the same as the "MOCK DRAFT" orders which factor in team needs.

Now that is clarified, I'll address another comment regarding that DeCastro was not graded higher on the big boards. Of course I can't state with certainty I have seen EVERY big board published-who can? But I can state with certainty that DeCastro was higher on EVERY big board I'VE seen. Here are links to a few:

    http://walterfootball.com/draft2012bigboard.php

I can list MANY more if needed. So back to my point. The term Best Player Available is a qualitative and comparative assesment of a draftees skills irregardless of position. So how can ANYBODY state Wright was the BPA when every big board I've seen placed DeCastro way higher?

He was BPA on our board. That's the only board that matters.

Because, none of those big boards belong to actual NFL teams, just a bunch of armchair GMs. I don't see how you can state Wright wasn't the BPA just because he wasn't ranked as high by you or Mel Kiper.

Not thrilled we didn't address OL, but a Titans fan would be foolish to think the WR corps was set going into the draft. Britt is a part time player and Washington is a solid #3.
    Any improvement is an improvement..

Either CJ's ineptitude is line related or he simply wasn't prepared last season or he's lost a step...
1 and 3 don't bode well given the current situation and #2 was denied to death by JC addicts board-wide last season.
Either way, I wouldn't count those eggs just yet.

That's the point I'm making. Nobody can say with certainty he was the BPA, only that Webster/Munch believed him to be the BPA. The fact that their opinion was so different from the "expert" is a strong statement. Some would describe it as bold, some would describe it as risky. Time will tell if it works out in our favor but it may prove an unwise risk if we don't address our needs (OL, DL) successfully and DeCastro pans out to be a success.

I'd add that it is a bit egocentric for many (not you) to dismiss the pundits assessment/opinion as having little merit or credibility.
