If he is on the board, I feel that we should grab him. I am not trusting Smith's Mantra that he will bring it this year. The DL and DB positions will be address early. If we have another draft like last year, we will be in the playoffs for years to come. Bring on the Patriots!

I like Brockers. He's really raw as a pass rusher, but he could step in right now and be a great run stopper. He has high upside, but his potential hinges on whether or not he can develop a pass rush. I think he has all the tools to be a great pass rushing DT though, and he could fit in as a 4-3 DT or 3-4 DE if we choose a hybrid defense.

I wouldnt touch a LSU defensive lineman or a USC lineman with a 10 ft pole... they ALWAYS turn out to be busts (see Glen Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, etc)

Brockers has limited athleticism especially considering explosion in short areas. He is such a poor pass rusher they took him off the field in passing situations and nickle packages. You dont draft a player in the first round that can only be effective in running situations.

Yeah, I'm not really sure where the Brockers hype is. Maybe Jerry Jones will pull the trigger on him. I just hope we aren't dumb enough to select him with our #20 pick..

Regardless if you like Brockers or not, I just feel that we should grab a DT in 1st round. I think that Brockers can push the pocket to help you DE.

I wholeheartedly want a DT as our first pick. Just not Brockers or Poe. I would be happy with Still, Worthy, or Thompson

^^I'm with you on this one...Not really sure I understand your previous post stating you wouldn't touch a USC or LSU lineman when we literally just drafted Casey last year.

Brockers and Poe both have bust written all over them...Still should be our pick if those 3 are on the board and we are locked on picking a DT.

Wouldn't we be able to get Thompson in the second? If so, that's the route I'd take with a DT. Take BPA in 1st round then snag Thompson or Curry in the 2nd.

Worthy is a guy I would much rather take a chance on, an NFL offseason conditioning program can do a lot for a guy who has been known to be out of shape. He is a great athlete just needs to be a little more conditioned.
