Did you forget we have no center? Waiting til the 5th round for a good center isn't happening. We'll need to use the 3rd or 4th pick on a center.

Not getting Koppen hurts - we NEED a center BAD in the draft.

Also Mike Martin will not be available with our 3rd round pick IMO

I was dreaming out loud I wasn't serious.

I see 2 maybe 3 starters at C in this draft Konz and Blake with Saulsberry and Gradkowski as sleepers.

Konz is not worth 20 and Blake is a 3-4 round prospect with Saulsberry and Gradkowski going anywhere from 5-7.

I'm not into reaching to fill a hole I'm into BPA and if were on the clock and a C is the top guy so be it. This is our own doing our FO dropped the ball on the position.

This DT class has no true STUD and by that I mean a guy who is a physical freak who has shown he can dominate. No Suh, no Haynesworth, and no John Henderson. It is loaded with "safe" DTs in my mind. I would rather not draft a "safe" DT with our 1st rnd pick.

I just think that an impact player at some position will be available at 20.

Everyone wants to designate rounds to positions I'm all for taking the BPA like you said. Don't take the easy way out and draft the top DT just because it is a need if you have Barron rated higher. Just using that as an example as I have no idea what the Titans board looks like but I'm with you on an impact guy and if it happens to be a DT so be it but don't handcuff yourself to a position.

Yea the term 'safe' does make this class seem average. But that's really the best word to describe some of them. Better than 'risky' right?

Let me say this, Worthy penetrates as well as any All-Pro DT right now, what could keep him from being an All-Pro is that if he doesn't blow past the Guards, he's stood up and doesn't make the play. But at the same time he's never getting blown off the ball the way Senderrick Marks does. To me thats a good thing and thats the kind of player we want.

It'll be true that drafting Worthy would instantly make us better, but the question becomes 'how good can he be'? I think he's got a high ceiling. He's only a junior, so he's not as good as he'll be. And I like his reasoning for declaring early.

The issue I have with him, is that he seems to let big moments get the better of him. He freaked during his combine workout, and turned out lame numbers. Which could turn out to be a great thing for us since anyone with impressive workouts gets shot up 3 spots and instantly becomes the best at their position. Maybe him having a bad combine gets us the best DT. But when he's comfortable, he's a beast. Those jitters go away, so I'm not that concerned with him.

I like Worthy a lot so you will hear no complaints from em if we pick him. I don't think his combine was too bad it was pretty much middle of the pack but he didn't bomb it. His pro day was impressive from what I heard.

Looking at needs of our team, C/DT/S/LB/DE/WR. In that order.

Looking at depth and strength of the draft, DT/WR/LB/C/DE/S (at least for positions we need)

Drafting a prospect from one of the weaker areas (depth wise of how many quality prospects there are in this draft) is the smarter option and letting the stronger area talents drop to you.

Worthy in the second would be really good.

You take the number one player on your board unless you have an all pro at that spot and don't second guess yourself.

Playing the depth game will come back to hurt you
