He's volatile.. Gigged w him on the very first Rollins tour after Black Flag and he was as nice as Grandma. Coupla years later we went to see him at the same venue and he was a complete and utter jerk to my friend's girl who was the biggest fan. Unnecessarily rude..

 

Favorite Superhero when you were a kid?
I followed Fantastic Four as a kid. Lots of Submariner and The Silver Surfer.
I drew and redrew those characters until my hand was sore. Wonder if kids still do that? Though it was my favorite comic it was my least favorite Marvel movie. Ugh they ruined it..

When did you start playing a guitar & what motivated you to learn?
I learned relatively late at around 19 years old. My friend at the time (and single greatest guitar player I've ever seen) was willing to show me some chops. I was playing in a week.

Advice for someone wanting to learn guitar?
Learn some fun things right out of the gate and understand that the hardest part is at the very beginning. If learning is painful and boring its just as easy to quit.

Any actors that you just can't stand to watch?
Keanu tops it for me.
I can barely stand Denzel..
I love DeNiro when he's full tilt, but when he's phoning it in it's pretty hard to swallow..

I have the big fat WD first compendium.
I have my typical little beefs here and there but generally I think they do a good job. I like Andrew Lincoln a lot..

 

Have you ever had a dream that made you change something about yourself or your life?

Not me personally - and I am probably the biggest skeptic of ESP, magic and the otherworldly like - but this story DID happen.. I was working at a window tinting place in Florida and my boss was married to a Delta stewardess.

I remember the day specifically because he had to bail on some plans because she took the day off over some horrible nightmare she had the previous night and came in to work (she did the books on off days).

She was on about how in her dream her plane crashed and lots of bloody images etc overwhelmed her, so she called in sick.

Her missed flight was Delta Air Lines Flight 191.
I do not lie.


2) Scariest dream you have ever had?
I was falling off of a cliff but was saved by a rotating jewelry display, which pulled me to safety - only to fall over the other side into the water off of a dock and I was attacked by an alligator. I punched the gator inside his mouth and my fist went through the top of his head. I escaped on a wind-drawn street-ready surfboard and was blown into some powerlines, which killed me instantly.
The urban legend about dying in your dreams apparently isn't true!

3) Do you ever have recurring dreams?
I have a recurring dream where I have not yet graduated high school and I continuously repeat the final year - even as an older dude. I've had this dream for decades.
I dream about snakes, the ocean and water spouts frequently...
No idea why.. I'm not a beach person.
