It's because of crap like twitter, where they feel the need to constantly update with no reason at all, just to make it seem like they are actually doing something.

    Attention span deficit disorder.

Verner is pretty slow for a CB, he needs the sideline to keep from getting torched. He does adjust well, but playing inside he's vulnerable. Maybe if he shows me he's faster I'd change my opinion, but as of his last game, in my eyes he's slow for a CB.

The fact that a couple of athletic freaks have succeeded at CB into their 30s (while hundreds of others have seen their production drop off) is probably the worst argument for trading for Asante Samuel possible.

Probably not. But it goes much further to prove a point than just a baseless opinion.

I think Wyatt just disagrees with the definition of "interest."

Interest means they would be happy with adding him to the team if he's available and looking to pursue an option to acquire him.

Interest, to Wyatt, is active trade talks apparently.

Wyatt gives no sources to his reports. Everyone else is saying the Titans are on the verge of trading for Samuel. He says we wouldn't give up a third and gives no reason or source. I think his logic is sound in that we may as well draft a rookie CB with that type of pick, as oppose to giving it up plus taking a chunk out of our cap space. Not to mention we do have depth at the position. But, playmakers are just that, and if we do get him it means we can focus elsewhere in the draft.

The NFL sites Wyatt as a reliable source, so once he goes with something, they follow. After nfl.com picks it up, opinions seem like facts, but they're not.

We saw with Manning Watch that none of these guys have much more to go on than we do.

Common sense says we will NOT trade away a 3rd for Asante.
