Bud did attempt to get him. We all know why. I would think Manning may have said no earlier to some teams so they could resume with free agent signings. 49ers were his best option for a SB . Titans best fit for him to remain healthy and to create possibly the largest single player fan base of any NFL player as well as be close to his UT fan base..

Hes got more money than Van Camps has pork and beans( more than they have pork anyway). But he wanted more.

Hes intelligent, studies film, practices hard and has high expectations. I think he makes receivers better by helping teach routes.

A lot of folks did not want him at first, thought about it and started liking the idea. Then a lot of them, me included thought we had an actual chance to get him. Then we find out we did not get him and was probably just fodder to raise the price Denver had first offered.

Titans possibly missed out on some needed free agents. Guess we will never know. I feel like its Mannings way of a last parting shot to a team he never cared about even though he consistently beat our team.

Folks are upset. They say things they might not normally speak about because it is a message board .

It will be a short amount of time before things get back to normal. A week from now the messages will be few and I will mis them. I think most posters here know this by now.

But sometime soon, possibly tomorrow, we will sign a new free agent . The discussions of how he will help the team dominate or simply collect a check will again be plentiful.

You can get onto folks for their 16 yr old attitude. I am going to cut folks some slack cause I know they feel jilted. Also, some of them are pretty humorous.

Very well said. Bravo! For whatever reason, I never thought about the fact Bud may have crawlfished back to his stingy ways.
I hope not . he should know you cant take it with you. I also know old habits are hard to break, not that I ever had too much money.

I obviously don't know any details regarding the Titan's offer. Just going off what was "reported". Multiple media outlets reported PM was not only was willing to pay any price but also promised a front office position with the organization after he retires Again, take it for what its worth. Media reports are obviously not always spot on

I think Denver still has some $ to spend but we will see after contract is finalized. I see/hope for three good years from PM. Obviously need to get a backup unless the Bronco organization feels Weber (2nd year player) will get a shot. It is nice to worry about the backup qb situation versus having to worry about the starter (as it has been the last few years here in Denver).

Manning for the broncos situation is great. He fills their biggest need. Tebow is and never will be the answer. We have a great qb situation here already and fully expect Locker to pan out for us.

I'm happy Peyton decided against us, ecstatic actually.

Lets face it the Denver people went through crap the past two weeks. 1 day it was looking like 95 percent Manning, the next day Bud adams is sending PM a blank check. This went back and forth, then the 49ers entered the picture. We have 2 QBs, and Denver had 1 but Elway hated, so to Denver fans Congrats and Good Luck. There is no hate on my end.

Peyton Manning on the other hand, well, I was heartbroken and I will get over it. My wife is happy though, LESS TIME ON THE COMPUTER & TWITTER. Oh and the Mills Mall opens up in week so we'll be planning a trip to Nashville for Eastern Weekend.
