Even if this doesn't go down, maybe in the end this will just create a monetary culture change within the organization where we're not afraid to spend on big name free agents. I'm tired of us being content with looking at great players from afar, and not signing them.

But don't get me wrong, I only want them to throw money at the guys where the ends justify the means.

Yea, odd that Adams isn't there.

How long before Manning exits the meeting? I say it's when Chris Palmer tells him he likes to run draw plays with 40 seconds left at midfield when we're losing by a TD and we have 0 timeouts.

    Yup!

Munch knows Bud as well as anyone. What, 30 years now? I think he knows when Bud means business.

maybe it's best that Adams isn't there.

an 89 year old pooping his pants in front of Peyton and his daddy is a dealbreaker..

85% of Manning is 200% better than 110% of Hasselbeck.

Why not go after Williams, Hutchinson, Grubbs, Myers, Wells multiple top tier guys that can improve this team.

You rebuild the offensive line through free agency allows us to go into the draft with defense on our mind, building a good group of young talent. Instead of getting a QB without a neck, and still having multiple holes to fill.

This is my thinking exactly. At first the idea of us being interested in Manning made no sense to me. But once I saw that the interest was real and we are actually serious about getting him, I'm now stoked at the idea of him leading our offense.

I give Hasselbeck credit for playing ok for us last year but like you said he's not on Peyton's level.

I'm actually on board with you.

I'm not very fond of the idea of signing our third QB in two years when we have such a promising player in Jake Locker. I would much rather us spend the money on the other glaring holes in our starting lineup. But unfortunately you and I can't tell Bud where to throw his money. I just meant that hopefully this pursuit of Manning will make Bud realize that sometimes you have to shell out big bucks for gamechangers.

Well, since he's already been throwing, I wouldn't consider that a possibility.
