Agreed. Id get excited quickly because I have no choice and PM is a damn good QB lol. Everyone says he is in a decline, but hell.. ill take a 4k yard "in decline" passer anyday.

I just dont think it will be enough and the money spent on him, will keep us from plugging a lot of holes.

    I voted no.

Ignoring what he can or can't do at this point, as a Titan's fan in Knoxville that has taken 10+ years of crap from bandwagon Colts fans, I can't stomach the thought of all those folks becoming "diehard" Titan fans.

i said no based on the facts:

1 - we dont really need another vet qb, i agree lock's time is sooner than later.

2 - he is coming off a bad injury, im still not sold he can take a full season.

3 - he'll eat up a lot of roster room and in the current state of things, if we were to tie up a lot of money, i'd want someone like mario.

4 - Payton is going to come in under his terms, his system. All those audibles at the line and what not, i don't want another year of learning from the O, i want execution.

Manning won a Super Bowl with a bad defense... A defense far worse than our current defense.

But he needs an O-line and frankly, ours isn't up to par. We have a joke for a center and two bum guards.

Our defense doesn't have a Freeney or a Mathis....It has a Morgan and well, no other DE on the roster right now...

We're a center, 2 guards, 2 DE's, 1 DT, 1 LB, 1 CB, 1 FS, and 1 SS away from a Superbowl. I would have said RB but I think he'll get his chit together this year...

Did he win a SB after sitting out a year? Did he win a SB with a neck injury? Did he have such talents as Lavelle Hawkins, Damian Williams and Craig Stevens to throw to?

Come on RSB, see the light.

    KC

    8 points
    7 first downs
    1/11 3rd down effeciency
    126 total yards

    Ravens

    3 points
Only in the red zone twice
Committed 4 turnovers (lost 2 fumbles and 2 ints)

Patriots, ok they scored and did well against the Colts. Pats were a hell of an offense in 2006 though

    Super Bowl
    Bears

    11 total first downs
    3/10 3rd down effeciency
    3 fumbles, 2 ints

Im not trying to hype up the Colts in any way, but their defense played damn good during the playoffs and super bowl

You are right, our regular season is better than their regular season that year. However the reason that PM won the super bowl is because the defense dominated several of their games in the playoffs
