Funny, I'm not sure they'd be worse off in any way if they would have kept Rivers and retained those picks.

I dunno the RG3 hype machine is just way out of control. I think he could turn out to be a good QB but 3 1's and a 2 to move up 4 slots is ridiculous. All this for a QB coming from a spread offense, he may be a couple years away but he'll be starting his rookie year for better or for worse. It really does piss me off that Fisher lucked out big time though. This one move will probably set the Rams up for years to come, despite Fishers shortcomings.

I respect RG's game from what i have seen and heard. but i also feel he really benefited from what Cam did this year.

i hear alot of people also comparing him to vick. i dont watch that much college ball. so i got a question for ya guys, is he more like vick or cam?

Regardless though, i cant get on board with giving 3 1st rounders. Even if he would put cam to shame (which i don see), you can't give that all that.

Its ironic really, this is Dan's way of building through the draft. Say what you want, his free agency tactics of 'puttin all your chips in one bowl' is applied here as well. Does Dan by any chance gamble?

no question they over paid but they had to in order to beat out the Browns. You can question the Skins for a lot of things but they went out and got their guy. Can't blame them for that, if they think he can be as good as advertised, he'll be well worth the picks.

    It's not really three #1s they're giving up though is it? It's two #1s and a #2.

They're swapping #1s this year so it's not like they're giving up and losing a first rounder this year.

It's a steep price, true, but if you think you've got a franchise QB you do all you can to go and get him.

Fisher, on the other hand, now has 5 first round picks in 3 years. Unbelievable.

I suppose I get the move from Dan Snyder's perspective. The one thing you really can't get in free agency is a franchise quarterback but just about every other position you can. What does he care if gives up picks over the next few years when he can just buy any player he wants? He'll throw a ton of money at Vincent Jackson or something, so he'll make up those lost picks by spending out the wazoo.

So he gives up a lot in draft picks but he gets his franchise quarterback for long term, and at the same time, ensuring he'll be spending hundreds of millions making up those lost picks by bringing in elite free agents. When you have more money than Jesus who cares?

As with all these trades it all comes down to production. If the Skins new QB busts then the trade was horrible. If he becomes a solid starter for 6-8yrs then it was a good move. If he becomes a stud MVP super bowl winning QB then you got a steal.

If Fisher wins a SB with his draft picks then he got the better end of the deal. If he turns the Rams into a perennial 8-8 team then the deal was ok for them. If the Skins QB becomes a true stud then it was a bad trade by Fish.

Exactly, this guy better look to throw his money around like usual to put some weapons around him. RG3 already has Fred Davis to throw to, but the addition of Vincent Jackson would help transition him into the NFL.

They need some FAs now. Skins got mad money, but also have Santana Moss, London Fletcher, and Laron Landry as their main FAs.

They MUST get a legit #1 to pair with Brandon Banks and Armstrong. They also might wanna get a solid RB.
