What else are you going to do if you are Indy? I think it's easy to say Luck won't live up to they hype, because the hype is so enormous.

They could keep Manning (if healthy) and draft Blackmon (a WR at 1?) or one of the OTs. Do you trade the pick? Do you draft RGIII?

If I'm Indy, I draft Luck. It's all a gamble anyway.

Yep. And he's going to cement that statement very soon.

He'll be exposed and fall off completely. Hell, it's already happened against some fairly weak teams.

    I'd draft RG3, no question.

He does pretty much everything better than Luck.

The only reason to not draft RG3 is if you truly believe the "black qbs can't win" nonsense.

I agree that Luck is all hype and is NOT worthy of the #1 overall pick. But I hate the Colts and am glad they are wasting their time and money on Luck. I'm not saying he sucks or that he isn't a 1st round QB in this class but I feel that Indy is the worst place for him to end up. For one, he's gonna constantly be compared to Peyton and we all know it's impossible for anyone to fill those shoes. Outside of Dallas Clark this kid is not gonna have any help around him.

I think that Luck will eventually be a good QB but I don't see him ever living up to the hype.

Ah, your simple mind resorts to everyone that doesn't think RG3 is better is racist. How very RollTide of you.

How bout this, true running/hybrid QBs have not had championship success. I think there will be one eventually and it could re-define the game.

Can you actually make any kind of statement/argument/defense for drafting RG3 over Luck outside of your silly racist claims?

You have to draft a QB with the 1st overall if you're the Colts and it's gotta be Luck or RG3 and It will most likely be Luck.

It comes down to their GM's mentality. You have to have some serious balls to draft RG3 1st overall this year:
    - If you draft Luck and he flops, you have an easy escape... he was "the best prospect ever."
    - If you draft RG3 and Luck meets expectations, you've lost your job (and will forever be known as the guy who passed on Luck).
    - If you draft RG3 and he goes on to be a better QB than Luck you're a genius.

    Take your pick.

Meh, if Luck isn't good it benefits us so I don't mind if DW is right.

Much prefer to play against Luck than RG3.

Luck is going to need weapons and a complete team, which Indy is not right now. They may never have the same weapons that Peyton had so Luck will not have guaranteed success.

At least you can give a legit reason.
