The combine is just one piece of the evaluation process. I don't see why a guy who doesn't do well at the combine but works it at the Senior Bowl should be thought of any less.

    Watch the tape.

One thing to keep in mind about Perry is that while he did have a great 40 time, his 3-cone drill time did not break the top-15 at DE. That drill is a much better indicator of being able to turn the corner around OTs. His ten-yard split was top-five though, so the burst is there.

What I'm saying is watch the tape.

Why is everyone (Fry, onetontitan mostly) acting like Nick Perry doesn't have good tape? Perry has a good assortment of pass rush moves, a good motor, and good football awareness. In fact the only real issue I've seen with Perry, based on his tape, is he has a tendency to be completely eaten up by double teams. That is what makes his weight such an big deal. The guy was list around 240-250 his entire collegiate career, gained 20 lbs of muscle, and didn't lose any of his amazing athleticism.

And I have watched the tape on Vinny Curry and the Senior Bowl was honestly the first real time I've been impressed with him. Do you know how many sacks Curry had against ranked teams last year? None. The dude played in the C-USA and only played 2-3 ranked teams in any given year. Add that to the fact that he now has question marks in regards to his athleticism and I think his stock will take a good size hit on draft day.

0% chance the Titans go with Curry on draft day.

I'm not saying he has bad tape. I've never seen the guy play. All I've seen are two one-minute long highlight clips on youtube.

What I am saying is everyone pulled a hamstring jumping on the guy's bandwagon after he weighed 270, put up 38 reps on the bench press and ran a 4.6 40-yard dash.
