It's more about finding out who we should think of rather than actually thinking any decision should be made.

The main idea is no reasonable power back is available through FA, Ringer and Harper have proven dull at best as #2.

If we want CJ to have a long career and play to his best ability, we need a bruising back to take those tough carries between the tackles in short yardage.

Our best bet is taking a flyer on someone in the draft and Turbin is one of several who have basically just cropped up as the combine comes around and we see the entire class for the first time together.

He was projected somewhere 4th-5th. With his combine work, that will probably be more towards 3rd-4th at worst now. Mostly just trying to see if there's any big issues with guys who have legit chances to be drafted as a bruiser back for us in those later rounds. Turbin is one who seems to be getting a little too good for our range though.

I did make a thread last month about adding a RB that would take carries away from C.J., but drafting one seems like we've failed with Harper and Ringer, and IDK if that's the case.

The free agents I was thinking about were Michael Bush, Mike Tolbert, or Jason Snelling.

He looked very good but the runningback that impressed me most was Lamar Miller. I.always said he was the best back in the country and he didn't disappoint

I'm kind of surprised to see you guys giving up on Harper so fast. He's only had 17 carries. And that was behind arguably the worst run blocking offensive line in the NFL.

Even with open lanes he shy's away from contact, he's not the bruiser we're looking for.

Tolbert will want money, Snelling on the other hand is just as tough to bring down, but is an unknown to most, he could be a great pick-up.
