Well in the article, the trainer says Janzen is the best athlete he has ever seen. Its not like you are wasting a draft pick, this guy could be a Pro-Bowler if he has finally gotten his head on straight

I don't want the Titans drafting anyone with red flags. A bad attitude kills what ever potential guys have, see Pacman, see Haynesworth, see 120 other guys other teams were burned by.

Being a freakish athlete isn't what makes you a great NFL player.

I think if we can keep Cortland then that could really help Janzen if we drafted him.

I hate the line of thinking a lot of people tend to lean towards that says “if a guy has been in trouble, I don’t want him on my team at all.” To me the most important thing is having the best players you can get on your team. Off the field issues are only distractions, that’s it. It hardly ever is bad enough that it effects on the field play. Though we hate them, they don’t effect the outcome of the game and on the field. Look at Kenny, he had a LOT of off the field issues last year but who among us would trade away Kenny just because he has had trouble? His worth on the field is definitely worth putting up with because he’s so productive on the field. Sure coaches might have to answer a few questions about it during their press conferences when they’d rather be talking about their players progress or the game. But that’s totally worth putting up with when you have a player that can be so productive.

I’m a UT fan and watched Jackson for 2 years and the dude can play. He totally reminded me of Eric Berry and I guarantee you he could come in and start as a rookie. I’d take him in the 6th definitely and maybe late 5th to insure we get him. All of you guys have been screaming for a safety who can come in and play, and this is the guy and we can get him for cheap. Don’t let the excuse of a guy having “off the field issues” hinder you from wanting to take a player who will come in and immediately be productive.

Since pacman, I don't want anymore players with off field issues. If they can't act right in college, how are they going to act with money in there pockets in the pros?

Kenny was already a part of the Titans when his troubles came about, and had already proven to be an elite NFL talent when healthy.

Money only makes you more of what you already are, so yea, let's pass on another clown that will become a distraction.

leadership, taking him under his wing, etc. If Janzen truly has his head on straight there is unlimited potential at CB/FS

I like Finnegan, but IMO most outside people laugh at the guy. Sure he's emerged into a fairly good DB, but I don't think I've ever heard a teammate of his credit him for being anything more than intense on Sundays. I just can't see Cortland helping anyone much.

Nick Harper, Chris Hope, and Mike Griffin have been linked to helping McCourty and Verner, but I honestly can't say I know of Finnegan helping anyone. Finnegan has actually credited Pacman for helping him so think about that for a minute.
