The clear best two teams in college this year played for the national title.

 

Well, see Duece, Alabama generally quits trying to score halfway through the 3rd quarter because they know the game is already over.

They aren't OSU or Stanford where the non-existent defense keeps the game on the line until the very end. Nor are they worried about "style points". :gag:

 

Pretty sure you've never actually watched an Alabama game or have any idea about the concept of "defense".

Clearly LSU is capable of scoring more than 20. Not sure which of those games Jefferson started but whatever.

It's also clear from LSU's scoring the quality of Alabama's defense.

Most SEC teams actually just run the ball during the 4th quarter when blowing out an opponent. I know that's crazy to do every where else. Actually at Bama running the ball is running up the score.

 

I think Deuce's (and a few other folks') problem is that he doesn't understand that there are more positions than QB and WR on offense.


Seriously, how can you whine about Jefferson being a sucky quarterback proving that LSU sucked? Or blame him for the loss against Bama? Newsflash: LSU ISN'T A PASSING OFFENSE.

LSU scored by getting turnovers, by making crazy special teams plays, and most importantly, from their run game. Whether or not Jefferson or Lee are any good is largely irrelevant to LSU's success.

Alabama has the best run defense in the nation, and they got it playing some of the best running teams in the nation. OSU had the 93rd ranked run defense in the nation, and they got there by hardly playing any teams with an incredible run game.

All Alabama had to do to beat LSU was not make mistakes on offense and their D would handle the rest. LSU only beat Alabama the first time because of mistakes on Alabama's offense/special teams. This time, Alabama made 0 mistakes and thus Alabama proved they were the best.

For Richardson or LSU's three RBs OSU's run D would've been like wet tissue.
