I know you said you're bowing out but just wanted to respond to this one last thing. I don't think it's quite that black and white. I get the feeling this team plays when THEY want to (same as they did under Fisher). So that explains why they felt like leaving it all out on the field against the Saints but couldn't be bothered against the Colts. I really think it's a discipline/accountability issue. These guys do not fear for their jobs.

I guarantee if, say the Patriots, would've came out last Sunday with the playoffs on the line and got destroyed like that by the winless Colts certain players would be suffering the consequences right now. Bill Belichick wouldn't just shrug and roll out the exact same lineup and gameplan the next week (which I have NO DOUBT is what MM is going to do).

You hit the nail on the head.I also think it's a discipline/accountability issue.Munchak should've had heads rolling after that sorry effort against Indy and basically blowing our playoff hopes to a team who was 0-13.He needs to raise the intensity level and let people know they are all acountable.Hey it may be too early but i already think we can do better in the coaching department.I also think that may have cost us a game or two also if you look back on some of the asinine and questionable plays from the coaching staff.I think Reinfeldt is doing a good job in the draft and we a building a pretty good roster of players but we are inept in the coaching department.

I also agree Bill Belichick wouldn't just shrug and roll out the exact same lineup and gameplan the next week and of course your right Munchak won't adapt or try to change anything and that includes getting a hobbled and not one hundred percent Matt Hasselbeck on the sidelines and putting a fresh and very capable Jake Locker in the lineup.

Yep. I could not care less about emotion on the sideline as long as MM was lighting a fire under their butts behind the scenes. But that's clearly not happening. And IMO it is the responsibility of the coach to make sure his team is motivated if they can't motivate themselves. And if that doesn't work then it's the responsibility of the coach to find some new players that will listen and actually give a damn.

This is pure speculation on my part, but I really get the feeling Munchak is trying to be too buddy-buddy with his players. I don't think they fear him. I don't think they respect him as they should.

:) If that's what it takes.

There's a reason most great coaches become motivational speakers, write books, etc... They're supposed to be inspiring figures.

And when you're working with egotistical millionaires- you'd better be able to motivate. Look at the NBA for an example. A lot of college coaches go to the NBA yet can't win the respect or motivate the players because they're a different animal. It's not the X's and O's.

A boss has to seem passionate about his work. I stand by that. If not- why should his employees? If he can seem lackluster- how is anyone to blame a linebacker for showing zero emotion, heart, etc? "That's just his personality"... right?

Since when does the pro bowl mean anything? Tebow's going to be a probowler....LETS GET HIM

Griff looks like a fish out of water when he trys to tackle someone so I honestly don't know.

Why though were you all for starting Hasselbeck if healthy? Why at all? He's been TERRIBLE for weeks now. Our playoff hopes were already bleak, why did we ride this guy into the ground when there were other options?

As far as Locker not coming in at all, thats just clear evidence that Munch favors Hass and the same loyalty bs is going on that was going on last season.

It's the coaches job to put the team in the best position to win the game. He didn't do that.

I give Munchak credit for some of his wins. But when you coach the team to the worst loss in franchise history, that seat needs to get hotter or this team will always be mediocre.

I agree. and there should be no qb controversy if locker isn't the clear cut starter going into next year than mm should be fired

i doubt it could have been any worse. the only time we have been able to move the ball since the atlanta game has been with locker at the helm. locker makes this whole team look better and he certainly makes the wrs look better cause he can buy time in the pocket

Who should be coaching the Titans? Not Jeff Fisher and to me that is what I hear and see the longer the season goes. I want some new blood and accountability for players and coaches. If something is not working, then stop doing it over and over again.

rather have Jeff Fisher than his poor man's alternate version...

there are plenty of young coordinators and position coaches out there just dying to prove themselves who would bring new blood and ideals to this team instead of the same old vanilla crap we've had to deal with for 20 years.
