It is going to be up into the upper 40's and sunny. It was colder than that at the Saints practices in Metairie this week. Perfect football weather!

Payton also said the most important thing this weekend is handling the challenge of playing outdoors in cold weather against a quality opponent.

"I think most importantly, really, is the first time we've been outside on the road in quite a while. ... It's about this game and this challenge," Payton said. "One of the things we've been able to do is kind of let those (playoff) scenarios take care of themselves. I know the scenario this week starts with us having to win. I think that's where the focal point is, and I think we're looking forward to the opportunity."

The weather isn't expected to be too nasty in Nashville -- likely in the 40s without rain. The Saints plan to fly in early Saturday so they can do their walk-through practice that day inside the Titans' LP Field and work on getting the right shoes and footing for the surface.

The Saints also plan to practice outdoors at their facility in Metairie on Thursday. Payton said they had planned to practice outdoors on a chilly Wednesday morning, but he said they had an issue with the wind with regard to their video towers

42F (39F) Wind about 5mph ENE. Will rise to 46F(44F)

Gonna be a bit cooler than earlier in Metarie and Saints only practiced outdoors once(?) . Regardless, I think the passing game will be slowed. I expect them to try to get Ivory going in the run game first.

They also practiced outdoors Thursday and Friday. But, considering most of the passing game deal with the short pass and runs after catch, do not expect a slight breeze and cool weather to affect there game any more than it would the Titans'.

Either way u slice it if the titans win they are probably in the playoffs and if they lose they probably aren't. Time to see what this team is really made of.
