You're going to have to show me the wealth of talent this team has to have expected anything above average from it.

    The wealth of talent?...

We upgraded the roster from last year. We won 6 games then.

We have a better QB this year. That should be good for at least 2 more wins. That's expecting an 8-8 record.

We upgraded quite a few positions. So Expecting 9-7 or 10-6 isn't that hard to come to. Especially considering the fall of the Colts, the bad Jags... that should be an easy 4 wins there. 2 that we're not used to having per season.

Upgrade is a bit of a stretch imo.

i really don't feel like the roster was upgraded....

VY vs Hasselbeck is a big improvement, but CJ is way worse, No Bo Scaife, Babin gone, Tulloch gone, and we replaced a below average coaching staff with a complete scrub joke of the league coaching staff.

    I'd say we got worse.

In hindsight, yes... but that's coaching.

This team SHOULDN't be worse, and that's the point.

Our WRs should have been better, our RBs should have been better, our OL should have been better (assuming with our staff), our DL with Jones and Morgan back was supposed to be better... Our DBs with McC back healthy should have been better (and are, undoubtedly)...

the only area we shouldn't have been better at was LB... that's it. The rest is inexcusable.

the play calls in the first half were great. we got CJ in space. and he looked the best he's looked all year. then Palmer and Munch started the Fisher stall tactic and running him up the middle. momentum stopped. then the Defense got tired

Chris Palmer was far and away my least favorite hire.

Yes, get him out of here.

Give me names. Hasselbeck, who is an average QB when he doesn't have an all-star at WR, is the only guy you mentioned.

We have nine of the same starters on offense from last year, with a QB who needs fire power to be at his best. I like Hasselbeck, but he's not going to make anyone better.

Don't get me started on the defense. We have a solid group of corners, but give me a single name in the front seven that can make a play. Jurrell Casey is the only one I've seen play consistently, and he's pulled on pass rush downs.

Just because they're new players doesn't mean they were upgrades.

No, we do not. What makes you think that the Titans as of right now are better than their record? Our roster is average at best.

As much as we all hate Palmer's playcalling, he was hired primarily to help develop Jake Locker and make him a more accurate passer. If that side of things is going well (and clearly none of us knows whether it is), then you can't fire Palmer at this point. Maybe after the season.
