I think our main problem is this team can't figure out if they want to be a passing team or a running team on offense.

It's almost like they can't make up their mind or if they are gonna go all in and bank on one thing working so they are aimlessly floundering.

They already know they have good pass blocking. They have a pretty good quarterback. But they don't quit have enough talent yet at receiver for Hasselbeck to throw so....

We basically feed CJ the ball the majority of the time but we aren't gaining any yards on the ground.Running game dead last.

This leads to the 50 million dollar question should we mess with or move people around on the offensive line.

I think if CJ and the running game ever do bust open the passing game will benefit also.

We basically have one foot in the passing game and one foot in the running game and not totally sure of which to go with.

Also since the offense is sputtering and going three and out that in turn keeps our defense on the field too long and they give up points.

The solution i think is they need to work on getting the offense working better and once they start controlling the ball more our defense will get better because they won't be on the field all day.

What do the coaches think the solution is? No changes?

Munch is being stubborn and that was one of Fisher's bad traits also.

ha..it's clear that we can't be a running team.

And our receivers aren't doing much.

If only it were that easy..what is the solution to getting the offense working? Figuring out if we want to be a run v pass team?

Our problem is one thing and one thing only. We are not that talented. A lot of people (including me) forgot that fact. You can throw out the run vs. pass debates, the CJ holdout issues, and the defensive scheme but the truth is that we are going to end up in the 7-9 / 9-7 range because we just don't have the talent.

I define a franchise player as a player that produce for multiple seasons for a single team. How long has it been since we had a long term franchise player in the first round? The only player that comes to my mind is Keith Bulluck.

Lets look at our first picks since Bulluck: (2nd round) Andre Dyson, Albert Haynesworth, Andre Woolfork, (2nd round) Ben Troupe, Adam Jones, Vince Young, Micheal Griffen, Chris Johnson, Kenny Britt, Derrick Morgan, Jake Locker.

For those counting thats: 4 complete busts (Dyson, Troupe, Woolfork, Jones); 3 wildly inconsistent players (Young, Haynesworth, Griffen); 2 players who have been injured in more games then they've played in (Britt, Morgan)[Note: Yes, I do understand that they are still young players with plenty of time left]; 1 franchise QB that hasn't played a meaningful snap; and Chris Johnson who I don't even no how to categorize.

    That's really pathetic.

PS: Not trying to derail this thread but to suggest our problem is anything other then lack of talent is just incorrect.

Finnebosch, you totally bummed me out. I miss The Freak days. Im gonna go take 10 sleeping pills. If I don't wake up, it is pretty much your fault. And Jeff Fisher.

You nailed it w/ your post, though.

I'm going to start juicing up and will try out for our team as a wide receiver in the offseason. I got this.

    Interesting stat:
When CJ gets 20+ carries we are 2-0
When CJ gets less then 20 carries we are 1-3

Go with HGH. As far as I know, they still don't test for it

Just do both, it'll take them a year at least to bust you for roids (Cushing, McRath) and after despite you being a useless POS player, you'll keep a roster spot! Worked for McRath.

I like that you pointed this out. I've been just as disappointed as everyone else with CJ, but maybe by feeding him the ball we are forcing Defense's to stack the box, allowing Hasselbeck to pass more effectively? Plus it helps my fantasy team when he gets 20+ carries.

clearly the D changes when the little guy comes out, but Titans have scored a few TDs with 28 riding the pine.

I actually view one of those 20+ carry Ws as the OC/HC being stuburn and rushing CJ despite his obvious lack of success. The Cleveland game the run actually contributed in a positive manner.
