Pacman was well on his way to becoming an Elite cornerback...And he was already the 1st or 2nd best return man in the league.

    Nope.

Why is he not an elite CB today then? Answer: Because he was never that good.

Pacman was never Revis like but he was good enough that other teams stayed away from his side. He was developing into a pretty solid player IMO and what is important is he could change a game if the QB made a mistake.

is THIS the post you're in other threads claiming I avoided?... It's not even worth a response. Your constant lack of analysis isn't reason for debate.

Here we go again. Time to play "kick the alex". Gets boring, man...

    1. 95% of Hester's returns are 1 cut or less. There isn't 1 other return man in the league that is incapable of the same returns. Go watch the collection of his returns... and do it with an open mind- not just to argue with your forum crush.
He has TONS of real estate to run straight through almost every time. He's Chris Johnson as a returner. Huge gaps + Good speed = Touchdowns.

His only 2 impressive returns in college came against Duke. Duke. Yes, they have a football team. Who knew? He's had maybe 1 or 2 returns in his NFL career that he had to earn.

But hey... you're a "Look at the numbers. Yep. Confirmed. He's great!" guy. Asking you to analyze something is asking far too much.

    2. Pacman was the most talented player this team has had since being the Titans. He was the fastest outside of CJ (not current CJ), by far the most elusive, and his stats backed it all up. Ignore that though.

    a) How many other players have the Titans had that played offense and defense due to being that dangerous?... Not one.
    b) How many other DBs have we ever had to shut down that many elite WRs in 1 year?... Not one.
    c) How many have we ever had that were that elusive?.. Not one.
    d) Oh, you're right. Teams just stopped throwing to their best receivers because of another guy on the opposite side. That happens all the time in the NFL.

-- oh but wait. He lead the league in passes defended his rookie season. Damn! So much for that logic, huh?

Name me a more talented player we've had.

    3. People agree with it because some people here watch more than ESPN highlights and numbers.

Once again- you asked for this. Any time you're ready- sub someone in that can actually carry an argument for you.

You're the guy that'll claim your boy "He's not a bust" (lol) Vince Young won the comeback vs the Giants instead of Pacman. The guy that changed that game in 3 plays.

Yet there isn't a single other returner in the history of the game that has accomplished what Hester has. Wonder why that is? Oh I'll tell you- it's because he is awesome.

Nice deflection from actually arguing football. Can't blame you since you suck at it though.

2 rushes for 8 yards and 2 receptions for 30 yards. Yeah what a dangerous offensive weapon!!

It's easy to shut down other WRs when the other CB sucks so bad that he gets abused all day. But continue to stick your head in the sand and ignore that- you are great at it.

Pac was elusive and a great returner which I said. That in no way, shape, or form makes him the "most talented player the Titans ever had."

That's correct, it does happen all the time.

Bruce Mathews, Steve McNair, Eddie George, Derrick Mason, Blaine Bishop, Keith Bulluck, Albert Haynesworth, Jevon Kearse (the first time), etc etc etc

In all actuality, I think the only reason people hi-fived/agreed with that post is because you did correctly point out that Pacman had several punt return TDs. I also did, but as you can see (if you can follow a thread) I was catching up at the point I quoted BeatADeadColt.

Hey, anytime you want to grow up and show maturity more than a grade schooler be my guest. The best you got is smack talk cause your football knowledge is silly and ridiculous and generally made up - see the Boise State thread lol.

playing both ways alone is impressive, I don't care what the stats show.

not giving pacman credit in his prime is as silly as calling Aaron Rodgers or Devin Hester overrated.

You realize that your boy DW calls Hester overrated?

I give him credit as a great returner, he was simply never a great cornerback even when he was with the Titans. Time has proved that to be true. You can't seriously believe because he missed one season he lost all his CB skills?
