No I see his bad issues....and how overblown a LOT of them were. I don't care about postgame interviews and how well they handle them. You can act anyway you want when you come away with the W........

Boo hoo, don't debate and insult if you can't handle the return...

Nothing to do with "handling the return", just has to do with debating someone who will actually ANSWER my questions instead of wasting my time with more insults and silly theories.

You had your chance....now I am done.

Edit: Just noticed you sucked my previous post.....you are such a "MEANIE"...I guess you SHOWED me LOLOLOLOLOLOL!

Actually you got debated by Me and Geronimo....both of whom you have yet to actually respond back to. Instead, you cop out and say this has all been discussed before (why did you keep replying back if you already knew where this was going?).

I had my chance? You tried to say Volek had weaknesses unconventional to quarterbacks yet Kerry had the same weakness...holding on to the ball. Funny that Kurt Warner had the same problem for a few years in stints with the Giants and Cardinals (early years). FYI, that's usually because the line can't hold or receivers can't get open or both. Volek hung tough and made plays for us. Vince did the same. Now a PROVEN quarterback in Hasselbeck is having the same problems like the quarterbacks before him. Face it, we aren't a very good team and that wasn't Vince's fault.....but I digress.

Guess that chance was blown to prove myself to you. Want a blanket? It must be oh so cold up there on your pedestal.

If you would read my response to Geronimo that you chose to respond to (or one of the others prior to that), you would see that I was not enamored with having Collins brought in either. I was just explaining my opinion on other reasons (along with whatever issue came up with Volek, that really NONE of us know about beyond speculation) that Volek was let go. Once again, I will ask (hoping to get an answer)...if Volek was so great, why has he now gone 6 seasons without getting a look from another NFL team to start for them?

Kurt Warner had trouble actually hanging onto to the ball, not as much (not as bad as Volek IMO) holding the ball too long IMO. In 99-01 he was moving the ball out pretty quickly, as he was with the Cardinals while there. He kept getting hand injuries, and it seemed to inhibit his ability to hang onto the ball over time.

Hassleback has had a couple of not so great games after being rushed into service because of the lockout...too early to start making judgments on him at this point IMO.

On Vince, I will ask again (again, hoping to get an answer)...why did no other team jump for him as a #1 in the offseason, and why did the Raiders and Dolphins not jump for him over the past few weeks? I think you need to be honest with yourself here, other teams see issues with him not necessarily talent or game performance related IMO (I have NEVER slighted VY's abilities on the field, in case you have not noticed).

Actually, I responded to Geronimo (LOL that was the post that YOU responded back to me on...not the posts where I asked the above question about VY). I responded to you for over 10 pages (trying to get proof of the Fisher theory you claim), yet you NEVER EVEN came back with what I asked for in my FIRST response to you (which I have now concluded you just don't have an answer to, so I am done asking about this). Life is too short to debate with someone who refuses to see any other point of view that does not forward their own theory nor answer questions posed of them (which, although you may not agree with my answers, I did, until I got tired of this circular conversation with you at the end here).

That said, my one regret is going personal on you, which I usually do not do on this forum (guess you just bring out the worst in me LOL). That I will try to keep in check in the future. Maybe you should do the same...

Huh, who said anything about a conspiracy? The point I was trying to make across was Fish was done with VY after 08 and wanted to pull him any chance he could (which should be obvious if you look at all the facts), and I'm pretty sure that's the point biggums was getting across, don't know where "conspiracy" came from...

And no, I am not a VY apologist, I see both the good and bad, I was on his case for Jax 08. VY had little interest in him during the offseason because Fish, as bad as his coaching philosophy got over the years, he was still well respected by the league... and most teams were set at the QB position. And if I recall correctly, Miami (a team who needed a QB) wanted VY, but VY chose Philly.

Uhh, Volek proved he was starting material whenever he had to fill in for McNair. He rotted and faded away because he was no Aaron Rodgers. I never said or implied he'd be the next great franchise QB nor he was going to take us to the SB, but he was supposed be our starter for 06 and would have at least given us stability at QB until VY was ready to play... and then some bullcrap about Fish being upset that he was lied to about something and next thing you know, Volek is gone. In other words, Volek was going to be our Hasselbeck back then. Again, Fisher's ego...

From what I read from Biggums...his opinion on Fisher goes WAY beyond VY....Jeff Diamond, Floyd (not Jerry) Reese, etc...trying to make this be a pattern with him over the past 10 years. I disagree. VY and Fisher had a strained relationship, both did things to each other that elevated the issue, both showed their respective arses after the Redskins game, and both are now gone. That is how I see it....no other pattern (which I am referring to as a conspiracy).

Again, no one on this forum really knows what happened with Volek. Garrard was supposed to be the Jags starter this year too, and was let go right before the season started...it happens, and I am sure it causes hard feelings when it happens.

That said, unlike Garrard (who has been contacted by other teams until he announced his back surgery), Volek was never contacted to be a #1 for 6 years after this.

IMO Volek played much better in 04 as a backup than when he had opportunity in 05 (albeit not as many opportunities), which tells me that other teams had studied him and knew his style of play as he played more. When he came back out 2 years later for part of a game for the Chargers (I think Biggums mentioned this a few pages back), he was relatively new to the opposing D again, and thus had similar success as he did in 04. That is my basis for my comments on him. You have a different opinion, thats fine.

Regarding the comment on VY and the Eagles...I do seem to remember hearing that Andy Reid had contacted Fisher about VY before bringing him on, and Fisher did not blackball him. I think I remember Reid saying that publicly when asked about the signing.

I also think that, for VY, assuming he had that choice, made the right one...he really needs to spend a little time behind someone like a Vick and think through what he needs to do to take his game to the next level (which I still think he can if he grows up a bit here).
