why is everyone and anyone making him out to be the next messiah of Quarterbacks? Don't get me wrong i think he's pretty good but the best QB of the past 10 years??? i think not, may be a bit overrated in my opinion. The few games I've seen from him I've noticed his arm strength isn't all that great and I've seen a lot of under thrown passes and doesn't have a lot of zip on intermediate routes. Yes, he's a good athlete but he's no Vince Young or Michael Vick when it comes to running and even they have trouble running in the NFL and if ur not either of them then most likely your not running for too many first downs so what does athleticism even matter for QB's? In my opinion (and i am a bit biased because I'm a big Titans fan) but the best young QB in the NFL that has the best future is Jake Locker. He has a much better arm, can run almost as good as Vick or VY and a lot better than Luck and is about the same size. I just don't see what everyone is raving about when it comes to Luck and would definitely would rather have Locker. I just believe Locker has a much higher ceiling.

    thoughts?

btw i posted this same message on an Ohio State board i post on, most people thought i was crazy but some agreed with me

    70+ completion% two years in a row.
    Good size (6'4 235)
Decent speed (for a passing QB)
    Football IQ is great
Plays at Stanford with average talent
    Comes from a football family
    Plays in a semi-pro system
    Good (not great arm strength)

He's got all the positives that scouts look for in a QB.

I do think he's slightly overrated though. I like him as a player, and think he'll be good... but I don't see him as the next Peyton/Tom Brady/Aaron Rodgers/Drew Brees tier 1 QB. I see him more as a tier 2 QB, like Matt Ryan-ish?

Well, I mean, who thought Aaron Rodgers/Tom Brady/Drew Brees would become the QBs they did?

His situation is similar to the Mannings. Luck's father was a good QB at WVU and a career backup in the NFL. This kid's been groomed to be a star QB since early childhood, and it shows. I completely understand all the scouts drooling over him I think he'll be a fantastic, and very possibly elite NFL QB. He's easily the best pro QB prospect I've seen coming out of college in a long time! Really has NO weaknesses.

I cannot imagine the pressure this kid is going through right now. I will say this, what little I keep up with him. When he is asked about this "Suck for Luck" he seems to handle it with some class. Which is probably more than the team that is going to draft him.

Well, the team that is going to draft him did gravy train off of Florida's last National Title in a pathetic effort in putting a**es in the seats during Tebow's first start yesterday. :sad2:

Colts will have to realize Luck might be pretty good but he will not be as good and dominant as Peyton Manning was.
