    Problem with that is if you start too late, your retirement years are still going to be parenting years.

    I knocked mine out. in 12 years both kids should be out of the house. I'll still be young enough to enjoy the best (most secure) times of life.

    Ok, but who cares, I'd trade those retirement years for the next 10-15 years without hesitation. You're too old to do anything during your retirement years anyway so you're going to be bored as f**k, so why not do some parenting lol.

    I'll be 25 next month, and already have a 6 year old, I love being a dad though, so I don't feel robbed of my youth at all. I do wonder WTF I'm going to do when my youngest leaves. I mean I still go out, have fun the way a 24 year old does, go on trips, do plenty of fun stuff, but my entire adult life has been as a parent. Forget about retirement, I know I'm going to be bored at 50. And I'm not having anymore kids BTW. 2 is good for me.

    Go spread your seed man! It's never too late for anything! Just don't take Ben Roethlisberger with you anywhere.

    Maybe... but the thing is- when you're in your 40's-50s... that's when you actually have the money/freedom to do things you want. Most people are broke til they're 30... then they have kids.
    Having fun is the reason I ended up with kids in the first place though.
