absoutly wrong. Ratbirds totally sold out too stop the run and at times had 9 in the box. And when the stinking ratbirds did go straight late in the game that is when CJ had his short lived rise to average NFL RB. It stopped against the Donks.

Donks backed off some. There were some straight 7 fronts.

At least this is what I recall seeing from sec 320

the above says you are wrong about him getting better catching passes.

Now with Britt out Johnson needs to step it up along with the other young WR's

I'm not sure if this is addressed to him or me but my thoughts were more towards what I am seeing than actual his production. I thought he did little more than go out five yards and turn his back to the defense against the Jags. Even though he let a couple of catchable passes hit the turf Sunday, I thought his timing was improved and he was in stride more. That's where I see the most potential for him. If he has to stop to catch the pass, that usually offsets his speed as defender can contain him.

He has to get better but I'm happy to see the Titans finally try to get him the ball in space.

I guess the commentators lied to me when they said throughout the 2nd half that they had 7 men in the box (Ravens) and were no longer worried about CJ due to the passing yards.

Probably just their opinions, I'm sure.

When this board thinks that any time there are 11 men on the field that there are 9 in the box to stop CJ... regardless of what formation they're truly in.

Might want to acknowledge ESPN's fantasy analysis of CJ here.

I think CJ's field vision and agility will improve week by week, but the largely ineffective run blocking needs to be addressed as well.

And 2010 Blount still beats the pants off of 2011 CJ for some reason.

Interesting. I always wonder how such sites arrive at their conclusions. I'd think they would need to view each run play from both the side and back. It's clear to me viewing the Broncos game from the side how little push backwards the OL is getting on run plays. But that isn't as big and issue as not being able to turn the DL and create a seam.

yes it was directed at you :D

I think he is doing what he always does when he is out for a pass. He goes out past the line and waits. he doesn't try to get open and hopes the ball will hit him in the chest...hands of stone he is

I agree he has to get better catching the ball.

Yeah, our o-line isn't getting CJ holes but regardless of how awful your o-line is, if you're only averaging 2 yards a carry, you're doing something wrong yourself.

CJ should have made good on that promise of buying them all cars...
