They are keying on him because he ran for over 2,000 yards. We saw it last season. We are seeing it this season. Difference this season is we now have a better option than "Well, feed him the ball again!".

I'm looking at these plays, and i don't see how any RB would have success running against that. On the plus side, we do now have an answer for defenses selling out, and that answer is Hasselbeck.

CJ has now ran 46 times for a grand total of 98 yards.I will say this and its true.If not for Matt Hasselbeck throwing for 300 yards every game and a great defense then this team could very well be staring at 0-3.If we had Kerry Collins instead of Hasselbeck then we would definitely be 0-3 but instead due to Hasselbeck playing great and the defense playing well we are in the mix near the top of the division.

If we had Hasselbeck in 2008-2010 instead of Collins i think this team would've been way better especially when CJ had his 2000 yard season.Makes you wonder what might've been if Matt would've been here in the 2008 Baltimore/Tennesssee playoff game because he always plays well against them.

Hey do not worry if we were 0-3 it would only be week 3.....no biggie.

Very displeased with his attitude and work ethic.

We get the sarcasm........the point not so much. AP and Ray Rice both had disappointing seasons after having a very successful season. Brett Favre benefited from teams selling out to stop AP....same thing with Ray Rice.

Exactly. The lengths some fans will go through to make excuses for this guy is staggering. He's averaging 2.1ypc through 3 games FFS. Sorry, but that's not all on the o-line and defenses "keying in on him". I suppose the o-line was responsible for the drops as well? Come on people! Get out of 2009 and come back to reality. The guy is not in game shape and doesn't even look like he's trying sometimes (WTF was with that one-handed attempt?!?)

If CJ keeps up this unbelievable awful level of play and Hasselbeck keeps playing like a top 10 QB defenses won't be targeting CJ for much longer. Next week we will be 1/4th of the way through the entire season, 1/4th! And we haven't really got any production whatsoever out of him thus far. And I have zero reason to believe he's suddenly going to turn it around next week.

We should all be thanking our lucky stars (i.e. Hasselbeck and the receivers) that we are 2-1 right now and winning despite CJ.

The disappointing season for CJ was last year. Calling his season this year disappointing would be a huge compliment with the way he's playing.

1400 yards rushing is disappointing? What did you expect? Nobody thought he would get more than 1500 and was being honest.

That attempted one handed catch he made today indicated otherwise to me.
