    1) I thought Harper was faster than he showed against STL. When he had that big run I thought he was fast enough to go the distance but he wasn't.

    2) I think I do prefer Ringer to Harper, but that's only based on having seen Harper in 2 pre-season games. I think Ringer is a little faster (that's just based on sight, haven't looked up their 40 times) and runs lower. I think being smaller Ringer also has an advantage of being able to get lost behind the large O line that we have.

    3) Our O-line is back. They looked fantastic the other night. CJ could have taken a few of those runs to the house the other night. This might be the most encouraging thing I've seen all pre-season and makes me think we might have a better season than I originally thought.

The way the Giants were running on Chicago early last night...I hope we have more luck running again this week with the Bears on a short week.

Jamie Harper is another LenDale White you guys, and I'm pretty sure most of you guys out there disliked LenDale for some weird reason. Sure he's big and powerful, but he has quick feet. Harper knows about living to fight another down, so he doesn't put up much of a fight, but that's ok for now. Once he smells the endzone, that east-west running has to end, and he's learning that. For that reason I'd keep Ringer at the No.2 role, and give Harper some time to adjust to NFL life.

I agree with this completely, Harper seems to have the physical attributes to be a good back, but he doesn;t have the mentality yet. He seems to be avoiding contact, which is really irritating to see considering his size, especially assuming he'll be playing behind either CJ or Ringer whom neither of which are going to batter a defense. Harper needs to be able to.

Amen...Ringer has had, what, 3 carries this preseason??? Give me a break! Lets see what he does this week against the Bears before we pass this kind of judgment on him. With this being week 3 of preseason and CJ still either holding out or not ready to play, this week will really be Ringer's first chance since he has been with the team to show his skills as a everydown back with the first team (assuming he gets the chance).

I like Harper, but lets not write Ringer off here without really giving him a shot, which IMO we have never done.

I try to keep an open mind about Ringer, but I just don't like him. Didn't like him in college, didn't like him as a pick, etc.

I didn't like Harper in college or as a pick either, but it is hard not to be at least a little bit excited about him after the Rams game. He does remind me of Lendale a lot. He has good vision and good patience. He also tends to run soft for his size. Nonetheless, he brings something to the table that Ringer doesn't.

I also think the Titans are in huge trouble if it is Harper/Ringer. They may put in nice numbers, but that offense won't scare anyone.

Because he weighed 280 lbs while attempting to play running back(his words, not mine). He couldn't catch, block or break tackles. Lendale White was a waste of a roster spot because he didn't want to do anything but eat pizza and drink tequila.

Jamie Harper has a good hands and can block, while not looking like this.

I like to eat Pizza and drink tequila too, nothing wrong with that.
