I really wish that we would have seen Ringer for the next series. I would have liked to have seen how he handled coming off of the fumble.

Harper has potential, but he has alot to learn (like the direction of the field for picking up yardage, for example). At times he looked like he would rather stay upright moving horizontally rather than picking up yards moving vertically. This is something he needs to work on, since he does not have the breakaway speed needed to do the former.

In all, I was hoping that the Ringer/Harper combo would perform sufficiently well to scare CJ back into camp, but, like it or not, that did not happen IMO. Hopefully Ringer gets a little more PT against the Rams...I would really like to see what he can do as an everydown back.

Yes, they were given to us by the team. When we were told that we would be given a commemorative jersey, the typical navy blue didn't cross my mind, but it was a neat gesture by the organization and I had a blast. Kropog is a big boy! And since I was wearing #70, Roos came over to the guy standing next to me wearing #71 and Roos is an absolute giant! ;)

How were the fans selected, and were the jersey numbers you were assigned random?

Some other things I wanted to say.

McRath looked pretty bad. No way he beats out Witherspoon for a starting job.

I liked Frank Walker. May be solid as our 4th CB.

Loving the tandem of Smith & Casey on third and short run situations.

I expect Cook to have a BIG year

Mariani will be more involved in the offense with reverses and screen plays.

Hope & Gage are two veterans who should be nervous. I've believed both are expendable all off-season, especially with there inflated salaries. Babineaux continues to make plays and knows the system well. Hawkins looks good and may stick ahead of Gage.

Total N00b question: If we cut Hope and/or Gage, we do still owe them their salaries, right?

I'm not sure how all of the fans were selected, TitanJeff and I were invited due to our part in turning the Titan's License plates in to reality.

The jersey numbers were given to us as we "registered" They handed us a sealed package with a jersey in it. We had no say in who's jersey we obtained. TitanJeff got Jason Matthews, and I got Troy Kropog. The person that got #1 got Bud Adams to sign his. I thought it was cool that they had fans who obtained #63 and #74 jerseys :)

That is pretty cool. I'm a tad jealous haha. Wonder if they had a 27 and a 9?

Nope. As long as they're cut before a certain deadline.. whatever the deadline date for the 53 man roster. They'll get paid there roster bonuses, Hope had 500K bonus and Gage didn't have a bonus. But they won't be due ther yearly salary.

    No they didn't.

I thought that the guy that got the #63 jersey lucked out. That number was retired with the Oilers and won't ever be worn by a Titan player. You won't ever see a #63 Titan's jersey unless you see the guy that obtained it yesterday ;)

That's a very cool promotion. Should have had Eddie down there from the booth to do a 27. I'd also guess there were two 36's, since Anthony Smith and Herb Donaldson were both sporting it last night.

Sucks that there was likely no 28, either. :sad2:
