Should be noted that Vincent never received a penny of the agreed upon amount to add his voice to Thriller. Guess Michael Jackson just didn't make enough money off of that record to square up.

I know Price's great niece and nephews evidently. Or some relation. I remember them telling me that. And that's too odd of a celebrity to fabricate a connection too.

That's OK, he got even. He obviously haunted Michael Jackson from the grave to the point that Michael couldn't sleep without massive doses of drugs...

He got more than money out of it as well. His legend is much greater now because he did Thriller. 7 year olds know Thriller, while they would have no idea what Edward Scissorhands is, and that was one of his latest works. Heck, I'd have paid to get on a Michael Jackson album, even on one of the crappier ones. Even to be the dopey kid on the stupidly long intro of "Black or White"

I'm not buying that. I can assure you very few of his legit movie-watching fans came by way of Thriller. Jackson screwed him, period. Alice Cooper didn't pull that dicck move when he needed a real-life horror icon for Welcome to My Nightmare. Michael Jackson was a turd.

He definitely deserved the money he was promised, no question. I know most of his hardcore fans don't care much about Thriller, but I'm sure some of the general public (especially younger ppl) camme to be familiar with him in part because of it. What I'm saying is, the money doesn't mean anything at the end of it all. Not that Jackson was right in not paying him at all, (If it was him, and not the people who produced/wrote Thriller, I dunno) It is a stain on Jackson, and a good thing for Price, no offense intended.

And to be honest, I'm 25, and the only Price film I ever remember seeing is Scissorhands, and I just saw that a few months ago. Thriller ensures that he will not be forgotten in the general public's view, (non horror-fans) for whatever that is worth. That's why I say he got more than money out of it.

    Fair enough..
Too bad Vincent was just so old by the time Scissorhands was made. It was in honor of Burton's love of the actor, which is better represented via his early work, Vincent.
Very cool if you haven't seen it.

Today is also the birthday of the last living horror icon of the 50's/60's - Christopher Lee.
(Yesterday was Peter Cushing's birthday too)
