Wth nfl???

For sure, but that is really unlikely. There are too many devoted NFL fans to stop showing up to games, stop buying merchandise, etc. It's almost impossible to get any group unified on almost any purpose.

 

Goodell is the first commissioner i have absolutely not liked one thing about.Rozelle and Tagliabue were way better.

 

With the 58th day, the NFL lockout surpasses the 1982 work stoppage as the longest in history.Now longest work stoppage in history of the league.

 

For me, I can't really say whether Tagliabue was any better a commissioner than Goodell. Back then I was just a kid/teenager, and didn't honestly know the ins and outs of the NFL. I followed football, and knew players and rules, but CBA stuff, forget about it. Now however, I have a good understanding of it all, but wish it was as simple as it seemed when I knew nothing. This lockout has gone on almost too long, and it's going to hurt next years play. Does the NFL not want the best of the best? If these guys can't get into facilities to train and rehab, the NFL is killing itself.

 

That is a GREAT point. I think I hate him more for changing the rules than I do for the lockout. Whether it's him moving the kickoff up to the 35, eliminating the wedge on kickoffs, or fining players for hits that are too hard, it's is ruining the game! Not to mention how hypocritical it is of him to fine players like Harrison $75k for a hard hit and claim it's for player safety, then be an advocate for an 18 game season, in which more players will get hurt.

 

The way these rule changes are going, we'll see an 82 game schedule some day, 100 point games, and free throws for roughing the passer.

Plenty of blame to go around. I don't see how they can avoid missing at least two games at this point, which sucks because I want to go to the Ravens game in Nashville and take my son.
