I'd love to have Bowers, but the injury concerns must be pretty darn serious.

My only complaint with the Locker pick, is that it's once again the Titans not understanding value.

Yet another year where they could have traded back and still got their guy, or a guy just as good at the same position- but also fill a position of need with better prospects available.

This organization just doesn't think very much. Or they get 1 thing in their head and stick with it no matter what. It's not smart.

I love the idea of trading back. One thing... in order to trade back you need someone wanting to trade up. Maybe they tried and there wasn't anybody ringing the phone.

If Locker was your guy you have to take him at eight. Locker would not have been there in the second. He most likely wouldn't have made it past Minnesota.

Mortenson said it towards his attitude and work-ethic, not play style.

The only issue with trading down here is the fact that the Vikings ended up taking QB right after us. Granted I have no way of knowing that they had Ponder over Locker on their board but I've just as many stories linking him to the Vikings as I have to us.

I think the circumstances of the Locker pick shows how much our team, and particularly Munch believes in him becoming a franchise QB. Think about it, this is his first head coaching gig, and he reaches on a QB with Gabbert still on the board, if this pick doesn't pan out there is no doubt Munch will be fired, and fired quickly. He could have taken a safe pick (Fairley, Prince, etc.) and probably had more job security because of it, but instead he took Locker. I think that says something, and I like it. Just my 2 cents though. Anyways go Jake!

Wrong. Locker was there guy. If we would of traded back, he wouldn't of made is past the Vikings, I mean they took Ponder... obviously they would of took Locker instead. If we would of traded down, we wouldn't of gotten our guy.

Maybe the Vikings wanted the more NFL ready QB? They are closer to being a playoff team then the Titans are so maybe they didn't want to have to teach a guy for a couple years before he is ready to play and wanted a guy who they could insert in day one.

Locker was also the Redskins guy, we took him and they traded out. He would also have been picked by the Vikings if he was there, it is highly unlikely Ponder would be ahead of Locker on their board.

It isn't that unlikely, the whole group of QB's were very close together and different teams have different grades. A lot of people would have said it was highly unlikely that the Titans had Locker higher then Gabbert before the draft but we all know how that worked out.
