I don't understand why there is so much more support for Jake Locker at #8 vs Colin Kaepernick in the second round. Colin measures up better than Jake

    Accuracy:
Jake widely known to have accuracy issues that some believe can be fixed. While Colin isn't the most accurate I would say he gas Jake beat in this category

    Wonderlic (AKA Smarts):
The wonderlic isnt a great predictor of success it is a pretty good predictor of quarterback failure. Jake Locker scored low, a 20. Lower then Cam Newton who supposedly will have problems reading and reacting to NFL defenses. Kaepernick scored higher than all the QBs (a 37) the we have been discussing except McElroy (43) and Gabbert (42).

    Stats:
I'm going to call the level of competition about equal. And stats wise Colin is blowing Locker out of the water

    Measurables:
Colin has a stronger arm. Actually the strongest in the draft, its debatable with Mallet. He is a better runner as well

    Intangibles:
Both gave been applauded for their leadership skills in the locker room and good character

Now I'm not saying Colin is our guy. There have just been recent articles saying the Titans are interested in both. I will root for whoever we end up drafting. If anything this just shows Jake isn't worth the 8th pick. We could get a defensive difference maker then take a good propect (Dalton it Kaepernick) in the second round

Did you guys know Colin Kaepernick has all these tattoos? I hear Oakland is trading up to get him in the first round.

Anybody else thinking about having their Vince Young jersey fixed up to say Locker or Kaepernick?

Kap could be what VY was supposed to be. I'd much rather take him in the 2nd round than take Locker in the 1st. In fact it isn't even clsoe IMO.

Who would you rather have, Locker and a 2nd round pick or the BPA at #8 and Kap.

    No contest.

I would love a draft where CB Prince Amukamara fell to us and we traded down w the Lions for there 2nd rounder. Then took:
    1. DE Aldon Smith
    2. QB Colin Kaepernick
    2. DT Stephen Paea
    3. LB Mason Foster
    4. OG Moffit
    4. LB Nate Irving
    5. S Ahmad Black
    6. WR Danarious Moore

This addresses all our holes w productive character guys

I would love to trade back with like an Atlanta or Seattle or even New England at 28 and take Colin late in the first and get an extra second. Colin gives us just as much value as Locker and he will be there in the late first and possible the second when we pick at 39.

Kaepernick sucks. The draft is the last time you'll hear his name.
