If this happens, Reinfeldt must have a sick sense of humor, and it'll will convince me he's into sadism.

After the bad memories VY gave him, Bud wants to go the opposite direction. And Dalton's the whitest man in the draft.

I hope this is the case. It would be awesome if the Titans were in complete control of their smokescreens and actually convinced other teams they like guys they don't actually like.

The more I think about, the more I wonder if this Dalton stuff is actually fake and the Titans still like Locker the most. I think that is real.

Really what is there to gain by putting up a smokescreen we might take Dalton at #8? I see no advantage. For what it is worth I have seen some "experts" that now have Dalton ahead of Ponder and possibly moving up. I'm not sure he is worthy of the #8 pick but if he is the one guy the Titans see fitting their system and succeeding in the NFL I'd be fine with the pick.

I think what you potentially gain is you scare some team into trading back into the late first round to take Dalton. Then, you are free to trade back in and take a different guy.

I admit that that's a pretty farfetched scenario. It's easier to believe the Titans actually like Dalton than it is to believe that they are setting up layer upon layer of smokescreens.

About as much to gain by telling people who you are actually drafting.

I just don't see the Titans choosing a QB at #8. They would have to leave some awfully good players on the table to do that. Unfortunately the only way I see the Titans getting a crack at any of the second teir QB's is to deal their way back up to getting a second draft choice later in round one.

You mean he's the most orange man in the draft.

It makes sense if you look at it this way. Say the whole world knows Locker is who we're targeting, by making teams now believe it's Dalton we're actually interested in, it could help keep teams like Minnesota and Washington from feeling a need to leap frog us to get Locker. Good plan IMO if it's really Locker we're after.

What's really tough about our situation is our big needs MUST be addressed in the first two rounds. QB and D. So if we see ourselves take one or the other on Thursday night, with this new draft setup we have to wait until TOMORROW to see what we do. Ridiculous.
