Locker is the QB I want at this point, but if we do want him, we better take him at 8, he won't be available much later than that imo.

It's pretty simple; if there is a quarterback that you feel is a "franchise qb" and he's available when you pick, you have to take him. If that's the way the Titans feel about Locker then it should be an easy decision.

Locker has never, never had a stretch of play that has been even close to elite in college. His career passing rating at Washington is 116 which is like a 78 in the nfl.

Maybe he has the tools to be a good nfl QB but he hasn't shown me that much.

Those of you who think Cam Newton isn't smart enough to be a top nfl QB what about Locker who scored less on his wonderlic?

Locker's mediocre stats could have been worse of he had more passing attempts against Stanford and played against Oregon. He was hurt in those games and has not been totally durable in his career either.

I hope any rumors about us being in love with Locker is a ruse to entice the Vikings or the Skins to give up a 3rd rd pick to trade with us. We can trade back 2-4 spots and still get Watt or Kerrigan and the extra pick would be nice.

Unless of course that Qb is Cam Newton right? Show me the no show game Cam Newton had this year. Locker missed the Oregon game and smelled like garbage in the Stanford, UCLA and Nebraska games.

He sucked in 4 games and missed his team's biggest game! Draft him now!

Where in the world did I say I wanted Locker over Newton or even make a case for Locker in this thread? I said if there is someone available who you think is a franchise qb you need to take him.

As usual, Rolltide just makes things up.

"Give me an example of a play call" "Uhhh....Uhhhhm.....36!" ****ing genius. I don't care what he scored on his wonderlic, he's dumb as a brick.

So now "it sucks" to mention that a player disappeared in some games?

    Unreal.. :sad2:

This thread addresses the possibility that the Titans might be so in love with Jake Locker that they would use our 8th pick on him. Not even trade back and get an extra pick but take him right there!

If you post that it's no big deal to you that we do that then that is equal to an endorsement. That same poster hates Cam Newton and doesn't want that pick used on him.

This is the same 8th pick right? Those who like Locker better than Newton or Gabbert make your case. I have seen little from the Locker supporters here as to why they like him or think he is worth a pick like that.

    Let's hear it!

I am still iffy on Jake Locker.

His accuracy problems scare me, and his overall winning record at Wash is pretty terrible. If he's an amazing QB; he should make his team better and it's not like he was facing ELITE talent in the Pac-10.. the entire Pac-10 was off last year.
