The reason why I predicted that many wins is due to our new DC. I think the new scheme will add a sense of both discipline and urgency to our defense. Cecil's defense was one of the worst, most impatient defenses I've ever seen. Grey's wil be more balanced and patient. His track record speaks for itself, IMO. I also think our offensive scheme will be more half and half, less like Fisher's/Dinger's.

I'm hopeful for next season. Like I said, if we have a QB that can make the plays and a defense to keep him off the field, I'd say we have a good shot at having a mildly successful year.

Yeah, I mean we've missed so much.....like six weeks of free agency....

Once things get into July/August I'll be irritated.

I agree 100% that Cecil was just half the problem, but there's still that liability better known as Chris Hope. If that fool can't get on his horse and get back in coverage, we're doomed to be 6-10 again. Worst thing about last years 6 wins was that 2 of them shouldn't have been wins. Eli Manning won that week-3 Giants game for us, and if not for Kenny Britt going beast mode, and Michael Vick being injured, we'd have lost that Eagles match up. As a fan, we're all biased in our predictions. 10 wins would be a dream come true season at this point.

We have zero talent on defense. Just a bunch of guys. No amount of coaching is going to change that.

Finnegan, Griffin(sometimes), Jones and Brown(when healthy) are the only guys I think other teams in the league would give us anything noteworthy for in return.

That remains to be seen. I think he's got a very limited upside because he's small and not very fast. I think it's just a matter of time before offenses start to test him deep, which is something I don't remember seeing a single time last year.

I hope he works out though. If nothing else he seemed to be a terror in the nickel.

he's good (nose for the ball). I still have some questions about him playing as a full time starting CB though...his (top) speed saw him get beat more than a few times last season (though that could just be rookie footwork issues as well)

Verner only got burned twice last year, and that's amazing because they did test him early and he showed them why not to mess with him like he's Ryan Mouton II. Considering he is slower than most starting CB's, only to be beat twice out of 600+ plays aint bad at all.
