I'm down to two quarterbacks. Mallet and Stanzi. Thoughts?

I am pretty much comfortable with the Titans not taking a QB at eight. I think they will go defense so I'm looking for them to grab a QB in the second. It took some time for me to come to terms with this but I'm fine now.
I have been reading and watching everything I can find on both of these guys. At this point I would be fine with trading back into the first to take either QB if they needed to. I do think both will be on the board when the Titans second pick comes up.
I think everyone here is familiar with both players without me having to list stats and post tons of links. As hardcore fans we have done our research. I am just curious about everyone's opinion on these two QBs.

Not many people are high on Mallett but there is something about him. He comes across as such an a-hole in interviews and I like that. Plus he has the tools. Size, strength ect.

Stanzi's performance, work ethic and character speak for themselves. It is hard to argue against this guy.

While I google on who the heck Stanzi is, I say Mallet.

I have always liked Mallett. But I have a gut feeling he won't be there when we pick in the 2nd round.

Stanzi, eh not too sure about him being a starting QB in this league.

Stanzi is the sleeper of the QB class for sure.

He is better than every one of these other QBs outside of Ponder and maybe Locker.

Pretty sad how clueless people are when it comes to him. He's the Tom Brady of this class.

Everyone keeps comparing Stanzi to Brady, but it's ridiculous. Brady developed significant arm strength once he entered the NFL. It's seldom ever mentioned, and it's why it's nearly impossible to predict whether Stanzi will do the same.

EDIT: Haha, Deuce. I wrote my comment before I saw yours. Somehow I knew the Brady comparisons would come up.

The Brady comparisons do not work for me. I do agree about him being a sleeper pick. I have to believe some team has targeted Stanzi. The more I read about the guy the better he sounds.

I hate how Stanzi sounds like a moronic NASCAR fan "LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!"

I will be severely pissed off if either of these two QB's end up playing in Nashville.

I have yet to see even a semi-convincing argument for why Stanzi is anything more than a mediocre prospect. What do people see in him? All I see is average.

Convince me that I'm wrong, please. I want to like him, but I just don't see anything to get excited about.

I wouldn't mind burning a late round pick on Stanzi, say somewhere in the 5th or 6th as long as we somehow end up with Dalton earlier. I want no part of Mallet, the off the field concerns and the fact is he sounds like Eminem when he speaks. Guys, seriously, I don't see how any of you would want to take a chance on a guy with character concerns. Haven't we be burned by guys with off the field issues enough; currently and in the past? I have to believe the Titans and more specifically MR are smarter than that now. Mallet will not be a Titan book it.
