Have the preds made it past first round before?

 

Shhh... this is our year! We will at least beat the ducks and make it to the second round and then I like our chances as long as we can get some offense going. Rinne is a solid goal tender and we have a strong defense.

 

We will make it to the second round, but not because of those reasons. We'll make it because we can finally score on the powerplay. That's what we've sucked at for years and Fisher gives us hope.

 

Hawks are gonna take again this year. Along with the Bulls.

Unless you're planning to part ways with VY next year regardless of how he performs, that would be wasting an early pick IMO.

If VY performs like a franchise QB, you're going to want to resign him and then what do we do with the other QB we drafted. Sure, we can trade him, but if VY plays well, then we wouldn't develop him, and therefore, we wouldn't get the same value in return if we traded him.

If you want to keep VY, and not as a one year rental, it'd be better to evaluate him next season and if we don't think he's our franchise QB, let him walk in 2012 and draft one then.

 

I get caught up in trying to be diplomatic with fans.

I do think that we need a good backup regardless if VY is our starter or not. Kerry isn't cutting it anymore and Rusty doesn't seem like he's ready. We could possibly get a QB in the 4th who is decent and we can groom.

I personally think VY would have his best year next year. His stats have improved since he's gotten here and his passing really impressed me last year. He was almost playing like he did in college (except for his scrambling).

I think if Palmer had Vince in a good system he could compete with anybody. Yes anybody. The guy somehow finds a way to move the chains. Even early on he could do that.

I thought the CBA was gonna get worked out faster but either way I think we'll know our direction after the draft.
