For sure. The Bills went 5-1 to start that season and everyone was excited about Edwards. But the truth is that he never played particularly well and the Bills allowed themselves to continue believing that he was a franchise QB because he seemed safe. That's not the kind of player you want to go get. You can't have your quarterback always making the short, easy pass if you want to win a Super Bowl.

Maybe the comparison to Ponder is unfair (I hope for his sake it is), but it's a real concern for me.

Graham is a Freeney clone... and when in his career did Freeney make impact? Yeah... later than Graham has.

Morgan was a wasted pick/will prove to be.

Jerry Hughes still has a shot. He's on a team that brings DL along extremely slowly (again, see Freeney).

    Um...

    Too easy Deuce! Too easy...

Let me show you the FACTS...

Freeney, as a rookie, played in 16 games as a rookie and started 8. He had 41 tackles, 13 sacks and a rookie record 9 forced fumbles and I believe was runner up to rookie of the year. To answer your question, Freeney made a huge impact in his rookie season!!!

For comparison, Brandon Graham played in 13 games, started 6, had a mere 13 tackles, 3 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Graham has not really made an impact yet!!!

Your quoted above statement is incorrect.

LOL! He will be brought along slowly ONLY because of the 2 Pro Bowl DE's in front of him. If they weren't there, he'd be starting right now.

You're bugging my dude. DE's are my personal favorite position to scout, and Morgan is everything you hope for in a DE. Yes he was hurt a decent amount last year, but that was simply bad luck. Also caused by being caught up in becoming an NFL player, this offseason he won't be weighed down by preparing for the NFL, he's here and ready to go.

Newton + Williams & Stewart could be damn scary for anyone in the NFC South. I'm betting if they do in fact take Newton, they'll resign Williams.

How? Carolina switching to the spread option?
Williams may see increased success the same way CJ benefited from the threat of VY running. Newton will see limited success in the pros. I have trouble believing Carolina throws the number one pick away on this guy.
I still don't get it. Why does this happen every couple years? A guy like VY, Tebow or Newton comes along and everyone goes crazy. These guys never work out at the pro level yet teams take chances on them anyway.
Newton will be a bust. A one year wonder in a gimmick offense has little chance of having success at the next level.
If he falls to the Titans I'm not sure what I will do LOL.

I'm not so sure DeAngelo will be returning. I mean the Panthers can save the money, which they need for multiple other positions. DeAngelo will not be cheap, not to mention they already have Stewart (who could easily be a #1) and Goodson. Those two would be decent, plus they could easily acquire another decent RB for much cheaper.

Deangelo is going to bounce, they like Stewart more I think, and I don't think Deangelo will accept playing second fiddle, nor the money that comes along with that.
