He looks like a carbon copy of CJ with less carries and not as impressive numbers. Yet the hater-wagon wants to put him ahead of CJ. lol. The guys a beast, no doubt, I'm just laughing because the same people who weren't sold or aren't sold on CJ are riding this guys jock.... 5'11...200lbs...very fast and explosive...

I don't mean this in anyway as hate towards Chris Johnson, obviously CJ is amazing.

But I would not be surprised to see Jamaal Charles having the better career. He's been used better for sure, I don't know how much longevity CJ will have with the amount of carries we force on him.

I'm also under the impression that Charles has less negative plays. I have not (and have no intention) of doing the research of looking at every game to factually find this out. It's just the impression I've gotten from watching last years games.

Just for example, I looked at the Chiefs game against us last year, a pedestrian game for Charles as he only had 77 yards rushing.

He had 1 rush for a loss of 5, 1 rush for 1 yard, 2 rushes for 3 yards each, and every other carry was 3+ yards.

Charles had over 1000 rushing yards the year before last year during the stretch he started in week Ten from the end of the season. Which is 6 games, finished over 1100 for the season. His ypc is better bcuz he has better skills to make guys miss then CJ. Hes had two good years not one. His ypc are better. As of right now i have him number one til CJ can improve in the passing game. U act like hes not top 3..

But the numbers are just as impressive. If you average an entire yard per carry more than CJ, you are a legit back. He's capable of a 2000 yard season too IMO.

Very similar running backs. Next season (whenever it may be) should tell who the better back is.

Yeah good point. I was pretty tired when I wrote that so my bad. I would still rather have him than a lot of NFL starting running backs despite the stats. 4th tier would be a more reasonable choice, with the likes of Ahmad Bradshaw, Darren McFadden, Cedric Benson, Fred Jackson, etc.

Charles will get his chance. No doubt he has the potential, but until he proves himself more than once he can't be regarded as a top tier RB. I have a feeling he will because he is legit and his division sucks, but until then there's no reason at all to rate him higher than CJ. Unless of course we wanted to rename this thread "Top 10 running backs of 2010"

Lets see how Charles does when he is on a team run by idiots, coming off a 2000 yard season, and not splitting carries with a total workhorse like Thomas Jones. Charles situation is infinitely better than CJ's.

Charles really doesn't dance around in the backfield before hitting the hole like CJ does...and it shows.

Sorry guys... Chris Johnson wasn't the best RB last season.

He fell off quite a bit.
