I believe Munch said Rusty had been at the complex everyday since the season ended.

Thanks for that great rebutal of why you almost said it sucked.

Since you somewhat responded with the order of rookie QB's (which it now looks like you erased) I'll respond with this. Only Mallett and Andrew Luck would be the two that has the physical tools to be the real deal. Luck decided not to come out so that leaves Mallett. Cam is a good athlete with good size and strength, but his accuracy really sucks.

I like the kid because he came into a bad situation last season, failed (as a rookie and 3rd string QB) and took it as a learning lesson. The guy puts in all the time he can and if he gets first team reps and gets first team attention during training, the kid can really come into his own.

Nothing bad about Rusty Smith seems unfixable. Accuracy can be worked on. You can't coach power or willingness to learn/continue working. Luckily, he has both.

exactly....as much as i hated on rusty after actually thinking about it and watching the game again it was safe to say the whole situation spelled doom for rusty and most of the posters in here expected huge things coming from a late draft pick qb in the situation that the team was in at the moment--he has the work ethic and motivation to become a good qb if giving the opportunity

I was thinking about this the other day but could the Titans and the Bengals solve each others problems? The Bengles don't want to get rid of Palmer due to the fact that they don't want to completely restart from sratch while the Titans want to find a short to mid range term for their starting QB slot. Solution: VY and a 2nd to the Bengals in exchange for Palmer and a forth in 2012 (that could turn into a 3rd based on VY performance). It works for both sides if you think about it.

    The Bengals would get:
    - A proven winner at QB.
    - Three picks in the top forty in this years draft.

    The Titans get:
    - A good - elite level starting QB
    - The piece of mind from not having to worry about QB for the next 3-4 season (plenty of time to draft Nick Montana)

The Raiders failed to extend a tender to potential restricted free agent QB Bruce Gradkowski.

Gradkowski will sign elsewhere as a No. 2 quarterback.

Gradkowski targted Zach Miller a lot when he played last season. Wonder if they would look into Gradkowski he might target Cook a lot.
