Only one I can agree with being "good" is Munich.

I enjoyed all those movies. Munich clearly much better than other 3 though.

Well, I'm a Minority Report fan.

It's been a while since I've seen The Terminal. I remember liking it... maybe because Tom Hanks' character was so different from anything he'd done in the past. Might have been a bit bland... it's been at least 5 years.

Yeah, I'd say Dr. Strangelove, Lolita, Barry Lyndon and The Killing are ESSENTIAL views.

TRULY understand the craft of brilliant film making and then start talking. Stanley Kubrick is one of the most influential filmmakers to the legends such as: Spielberg, Scorsese, Coppola, Lynch, etc.

I'm not trying to pass judgment but it really doesn't seem like you know what you're talking about. Kubrick's meticulous eye for detail inspires me as a film maker. No one can duplicate the man's stylistic eye. NO ONE.

Did you even watch the film? How did you "miss" something? That's like missing a slap to the face. Taxi Driver is a masterpiece.

    Attention to details???

The man became introverted and unbalanced.

Did not allow studios to see his cuts in progress and took 'years' to edit and present a final cut.

It's a miracle he was trusted so many times with a budget.

No shadow of a doubt the Eyes Wide Shut was his last movie if he hadn't passed away.

No one, NO ONE would have ever trusted him again.

Mirror yourself on Kubrick and you'll never make it in films.NEVER

    :)

Hitch is a far better role model to embrace.

That's a riveting rebuttal right there. How about citing some reasons it's a 'masterpiece'?

Kubrick wasn't the first eccentric director and he won't be the last. Yes, the man lost his damn mind somewhere between the mid-70's and up to his death. He was always meticulous with his productions but he got to a point where he wouldn't leave the house and to top it off, the man was afraid of flying (he had a pilots license, though).

Most directors don't let the studios see their final cut, in fact, most put it in their contracts. Also, the only film that took him one year to complete was Eyes Wide Shut. He was an old man. Warner Bros. thought that with Kidman and Cruise, they could make a fortune (162,091,298 is what they made on a 65,000,000 dollar budget). Say what you will about the movie but personally, I see it as a sort of cinematic achievement. It is a very underrated movie. It explores so many themes that are taboo and specifically not mentioned in cinema.

Also, Hitch is my second favorite director behind Kubrick.
