We had a long thread on this that was started right after the season, I figured now that we are through the Senior Bowl and Combine I would start another as Im sure the results will be quite different.

Christian Ponder, said it in the beginning, and I'm sticking with it until draft day.

I went with Locker, I love his attitude and work ethic. Christian Ponder is #2 on my list, followed by Gabbert.

    None in the first round.

I still think Mallett has the best tools out of any of them, but the guy is a douche.

After today, it's looking like QBs in the 2nd will be slim, likely Kaepernick or Dalton. John Clayton posted an article that Ponder has likely moved into the late 1st. Mallett is the most likely to slide because of his off the field stuff (some teams have him completely off their board), but all it takes is one team in round 1 to fall in love with him. He was easily the best QB throwing the ball today.

I voted Locker. Solid pick. Work ethic, tangibles and intangibles are high. If he is able to improve this much between the senior bowl and combine, he's going to be a star.

Toss up between Newton and Mallett for #2.

Right now, Ponder. And, I think we can get him in the second, if not the third. There is no way more than two QBs are drafted in the first round.

You may want to do some reading around, John Clayton wrote today that Christian Ponder has likely moved into the first round, Gabbert, Locker and Newton will all go round 1. Mallett is the wild card. Some teams have him completely off their draft board, but some were very impressed with his interviews, and he looked the best of the QBs today, although that was to be expected. You will see at least 3 QBs gone in round 1, maybe as much as 5. More then a third of the league need QBs this year, and there is likely to be a rookie wage scale making it easier to gamble on a first round QB.

I've watched Ponder a lot at FSU and I have never seen anything from him that indicated he should be a first round pick. He's a really smart guy, accurate on the short/intermediate routes and pretty athletic, but he just never really put it all together to make you sit there and say, "He's going to be a great NFL player."
