I figured if Newton can have 4 threads, Quinn can get at least 1. He's jumping up Mayock's board now, I guess he just watched the 2009 film. I've been on this guy's bandwagon since last year, and I had him #3 overall on the big board I posted. I hope he falls to us, but I doubt he will. Von Miller has nothing on him, he would be great as our RE, and we can move Morgan to LE. The only concern I have is how well he stayed in shape during his suspension. The combine will clear that up though.

    Quinn scares me.

I'm a Miller homer, but I see him as far more versatile. I think he can be an impact player, even if he isn't rushing the passer.

If we went DL, i'd rather have Bowers or Fairley. Then I can't decide between Dareus and Quinn..

Both will be gone when we pick, so...

    Quinn is one-dimensional.

I wanted to like him, but he just doesn't have enough in his arsenal. He goes outside every time, and that's the only way he causes problems. Using his speed.

Wont be able to do that in the NFL.

I would rather have more of a pure 4-3 end type than a hybrid DE-OLB like miller.

A good argument could be made to go tar heals one and 2 with Quinn and Austin. That addresses the D-line and then we could move on from there. If both those guys have good workouts they would be solid value there and both have nice size and speed for their positions to fit our system.

Of course assuming we have a vet QB already.

How? He might be naturally bigger and faster than Morgan. He is taller than Morgan and might have more room to get bigger and almost certainly could get stronger.

Quinn is only 20 and won't turn 21 until May. He can grow and develop into a real beast.

He is definitely the #2 DE in this draft and without a doubt the #2 DE for our 4-3.

There will not be a guy like this in rds 2 or 3.

I guess one difference is that I see Miller as a great OLB that got to the QB a lot in college. He played 4-3 OLB and was good, he just didn't get a name until he started getting sacks.

I'd be pretty upset with Quinn/Austin 1/2. Way too risky. Quinn might be an okay guy that made a mistake, but I don't see Austin as a character guy at all.

Has nothing to do with his size.

His success came simply from going outside every time he made noise. He has no inside move.

It'd be tough to take a player with only 1 move- especially when it's banking on speed, imo.

or we could trade down and take a d-end who is solid against the run and pass instead of just a pass rusher mood in someone like kerrigan depending on who we trade with.....i wouldnt mind trading back and taking someone like kerrigan, pouncey, or jimmy smith....either of the 3 would fill one of our big needs...then draft kaep in the second as i assume the bills or bengals will take ponder ahead of us
