Where is VY? (all things Vince Young goes here)

    CJ, the front office, head coach, and new OC have all said the QB for next season is not on the roster. Do we really need to keep going over this? The best thing for both the team and for VY is a fresh start. And if you want facts, lets look at the body of work

    75.7 42/42
    79.6 71/48
    86.9 154/100

    Those are the passer ratings and TD/INT ratio for the career of 3 QBs, want to guess who they are? 1 is VY, 2 is Orton, 3 is Palmer. Now tell me, looking at the #s who is better? Orton has played in 62 games, VY 54.. The stats do not lie, Orton has thrown more TDs then INTs in every year of his career but 1 (his rookie year), VY has thrown more INTS then TDs in 3 out of his 5 years as a QB. Orton is also only 1 year older then VY. 9 games do not make a career. VY is may have elite talent, but he is not elite.
    Assuming he is available, Orton is the QB I would want to lead this team for the next few years while a rookie develops behind him.

    You mean the guy this team desperately needs to part ways with.
    Maybe if VY didn't have a glass jaw he would get near those attempts.. But there's one thing we know for certain, he never will as a Titan (sig bet offer still open). Wonder if those "stars" would be willing to sit out next season on hunger strike over VY.. Doubt it...

    Whether VY comes back or not does not chage the statement of...

    VY > Kolb, Orton, Palmer, McNabb.

    You keep saying that, with no numbers to back up the claim....give me something other then a 9 game window. You said yourself, you look at QB rating and TD/INT ratio to judge QBs, well, the numbers above prove you are wrong.

    Well in fairness he said to use comparable data and stated Vince threw only 3 picks while comparing him to QBs that started more games...

    Well......I really don't think I heard him say that in the interview. More like "we have a good relationship". Since he was there promoting a rapper, ya gotta take the "he show me love" thing in context.

    Your really going to combine career stats? How about last year's stats. Or the stats of the last 2 years. That would be more accurate of where the QB's are at "now" in their careers.

    I don't feel like comparing their stats myself. It's Friday night. I want a beer.
