would love flynn... but he's pretty much out of reach... our options were either grab a playable vet and draft rookie.. or get flynn and a okay vet.... but with the cba screwing up our franchise we have to go with option one... which means getting a rookie..

I would say round 6 because I think we need to go DT, QB, LB, S, and TE. Another rookie QB isn't a higher need than any of the previously mentioned positions. But if we get any compensatory picks for KVB and KB maybe we can take him earlier than that.

I'm one of those people that thinks you should ALWAYS draft a QB in every draft. You just never know when you're going to hit on one that can really play. I really believe that this year we will draft two, I really hope McElroy is one of them. I'd roll with McElroy in the 4th, no problem but then again I'm not pulling the strings :). We'll may get a comp 4th rounder so taking an second QB, such as McElroy, isn't a huge deal.

Actually drafting two QBs isn't a bad idea for a few reasons. First of all we know SImms is crap so forget him. Secondly McElroy IMO is as good of a prospect coming out as Flynn and yet people want to trade a good pick for him. Thirdly, we really need three QBs right now. We need a starter (vet to start the season) and two backups.

Worst case scenario is we draft McElroy in the 5th round and he doesn't make it. So what? If he ends up translating to the NFL better than a guy like Stanzi or Ponder or Dalton, other guys we might take after the 1st round that is a good thing not a negative. If both rookies beat out Rusty we still upgraded a QB spot.

QB is a crap shoot. I agree with the post saying we should draft a QB every year. You simply don't know what you have until you get them in and review them. We need a future starter and future depth. Might as well start the process this year especially since the strength of the draft for QBs seems to be the 2nd tier guys with a bunch of them similar in potential and ability. I really wound't care if we took a QB in the 2nd and 4th round if they were ranked close.

I've brought that up before and I still think it's the best move for the Titans.

I think we need to focus on better overall talent. Its not like last year drafting Rusty Smith as a late round pick.

He was the sole reason I thought Alabama couldn't win the championship. He was clearly...clearly the weakest link on that team, and they had to win playing it "safe" at QB.
I'm sorry. Any QB that sucks in college while "keeping it simple" isn't someone I'd trust in the NFL.

Scott Tolzien is the same type of QB. Why no love for him? Oh, because other than being extremely accurate... he's pretty average.

and he pronounces his name "Mack-ul-roy". Annoys the piss out of me. His name is Mick-El-Roy. But then again... he did go to Alabama.
