The problem was, when we faced good teams in crunch-time (like when playoff berths were at stake) Vince failed.

Vince did do some good things here, and he really was doing a good enough job as our QB here before the blow-up. He was playing safe, game-managing football, which worked.
The posters here on both sides try to make it a black-or-white issue, either you hate VY with all of your heart, or love him, but there is enough evidence on both sides to clearly make some gray area. At times he was awful, he never won the big games, but we did have a good record when he played. He is not a savior, but, as a player, he is far from Joey Harrington or even David Carr. He was the reason we turned around from 0-6, any question about that is not seeing clearly.

He just didn't work out here, because of attitudinal problems. But his on-field play this past season didn't warrant very much criticism at all. He was above average. He wasn't lighting it up, but he played well.

Do I ever think he'll be as great as we first hoped? No, but he is a good enough player to be a decent NFL QB if he can stay uninjured and out of trouble.

Ya know Shanvhere. Say what you want about the guy. You're entitled to your opinion. But at least be a little objective. Horrible seems a little far fetched to me and there really isn't any room to back that up.

Well said Nicksmith. I hate always seeing the love him or hate him thing when as you said, there is clearly a gray area.

VY's persona was bigger than his stats and W/L record. That seems to be the issue with some posters good or bad.

    This.

You should've said this at first instead of trying to reason.

    Just wow.

I have thrown stat and stat and fact and poof on other posts, you cant make someone realize the truth as you can punch through a 3 layer brick wall with your bare fist, unless your chuck norris. only way the VY lovers will see the light is when he goes to a new team, and does the same crap at that team, and play like a high school kid in the NFL.

I don't disagree with anything you said. I especially agree with what you quoted and I add to that he didn't work out here and it's VY's FAULT. It is not EVIL Fisher or anyone else.

CJtheBeast compare him to Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers had to beat out Favre's legacy, a fanbase that immediately was against him when he became starter, and he did that. Vince Young FAILED with much less pressure.

And he is NOT coming back, there is NO chance.
