    here is my latest mock.....

1- marcell dareus-Mike Munchak's first draft (you know he would love to start with the OL - alas, no prospects grade high enough to justify the #8 pick) -- so, flip-flop over to the Big Uglies on defense. Sen-Derrick Jones is a stud, Jason Jones is solid, but unless last year's rookie Malcolm Sheppard gets it in gear there is no DT depth to speak of. The NFL is gravitating to rotating DL to keep fresh legs on the field -- I believe Dareus is a Day One starter

    2. aaron williams- Other than Jason McCourty, the Titans have no CB that stands over 5'-10". Williams breaks that mold and adds some additional athleticism and speed, but will have his work cut out for him breaking into a starting position against the likes of Cortland Finnegan and Alterraun Verner. That's a pretty formidable depth chart for the Tennessee secondary, especially if you include the aforementioned McCourty. The big question surrounding Williams is his ability to make plays against the run consistently. Needs to correct his penchant for biting on the double move and get better at press coverage.

3- andy dalton- has leadership skills and nice size, proven winner.

only downside to andy is he played in a spread offense but im a believer that if he has the dedication he will be able to make the switch with ease but we wont know until combines start

4- terrence toliver- speedy wide reciever that is tall and could stretch the field and return along side mariani

5- deunta williams- safety from north carolina could be a steal for us if he is still there--his stats speak for themselves--12 ints in his career has been a 4 year starter so has experience

5 (assuming that we get a 5th for vince) if we dont then im sure we could possibly get this player in the 6th round too------ josh bynes- line backer from auburn with 238 career tackles and 7 int has nice size for a linebacker too and could provide depth for our linebackers and possibly a starting spot depending on where he is competing with

6- justin boren- big offensive guard that could come in from day one and possibly start if amano plays like he did last year

7- not really sure what we would go for here i think we could bring in someone like mcelroy if he is still here and have him compete with our other drafted quarterback and keep the best one and either cut or possibly trade the 3rd round pick for a 4th in the 2012 draft

if we dont draft another quaterback i would take

rb- john clay from wisconsin for a spell back to cj--given that we dont sign someone like mike tolbert who is a free agent this year and the only thing that i dont like about clay is his history of injuries
if roy helu jr is there i would take him but im not sure that he will be there at this pick or not

what do you guys think of this?

Here my latest mock draft for us:

    Round 1: Von Miller-OLB-Texas A&M

Von Miller makes sense at 8th overall, he is the best linebacker in the draft and will instantly improve the Titans linebacking corps. I feel that he is a 4-3 linbacker but he has the skill and technique to be extremely well utilised in the a hybrid defense which Mike Munchak is looking to bring in to Tennessee. He will be effective as an all down LB and also on the hybrid 3-4 blitz or in coverage. He has the ability to be a terrific pass rusher in the league and be an elite linebacker.

Miller was outstanding at the senior bowl and has been drawing some comparisons with Clay Matthews which can only improve his draft stock. If he did arrive in Nashville then I would assume we would let Babin leave at DE as Miller would replace his pass rush contribution and Babin will be looking to push in a overpriced contract.

    Round 2: Marvin Austin-DT-North Carolina

Marvin Austin is a solid second round pick. He has good size and is a first round talent. He is solid against both the run and passing plays which is a huge upside considering the undersized DT's currently attempting to hinder the run for the Titans. He was suspended for the 2010 season which has ultimately cost him his first round status but in the second he is a true bargain.

He would certainly improve the Titan's D-line and is able to make regular plays. With Marks and Haye being very average and the only other depth guy being Sheppard, Austin would immedietly challenge for a starting spot and would be a welcome addition considering the injury problems of both Jason Jones and Tony Brown.

    Round 3: Colin Kaepernick-QB-Nevada

I would've preferred Ponder but his draft value has increased to the second round and I would rather go for Austin than take a risk on Ponder. Kaepernick is a risk but a calculated one in the third round. He has good leadership qualities and at times has shown a great arm. He needs to improve his pocket awareness and be more consistant on his release but he is certainly the perfect project rookie QB that Munchak will be looking for.

He will also bring what I thought was VY's only real game changing ability (hes probably already more mature than VY as well) in being able to run which means the playbook can get a lot thicker and make things even tougher for the opposing defence with a RB like CJ2k. He needs to improve inside the pocket and in making his reads but in the thrid round he could prove to be a steal in several years.

    Round 4: John Moffitt-OG-Wisconsin

Mike Munchak will probably be looking at an offensive lineman in this draft, and even though he claims we could win the super bowl with this o-line, it still needs improvement in certain areas. OG is one of them and Leroy Harris was terrible this season, as was Amano. Moffitt brings great ability and can play LG, RG and C which all inside lineman should be able to do in my opinion. All three of these positions needs a lot of work and the arrival of Moffitt will give us more options.

Munchak will have seen the ability this guy has at the senior bowl in which most of the higher ranked lineman struggled whereas Moffitt played well. Moffitt has also paved the way for two 1,000 yard rushers at Wisconsin (John Clay and James White) which is a welcome statistic. He is a solid and experienced starter in an excellent college offensive line having player 45 games and starting 42. He would be a great pick in round four.

    Round 5: Shiloh Keo-SS-Idaho

Keo is a solid fifth round pick in an area of great need. He led the Vandals in total stops and was the WAC leader in solo-stops which is welcome news seeing as Hope couldn't tackle to save his life last season. There might be more impressive defenders than Keo but he is a solid, versatile and dependable player which is what you look for in a fifth round pick. Keo shows great passion in his play and versatility in his ability to be a great contributer on special teams. He is not amazing in coverage but has great agility and is able to keep up with receivers for the most part. He has the ability to make plays on the ball with four interceptions last season.

    Round 6: Brandon Bair-DE-Oregon

With several of our defensive ends likely to leave in free agency Brandon Bair would be a well needed draft pick. He would provide depth and a dependable play style at the position. He had to most tackles of Oregons defensive lineman last season (45) and played for the most snaps (909) which shows his all down ability. He is able to play at both DE and DT but his size is suited to a DE position and he would also be able to play in a hybrid 3-4 defence which Munchak seems keen to introduce. He would be a welcome addition at a position of need.

    Round 7: Roy Helu-RB-Nebraska

He is a solid RB and would be able to compete for a place on the roster with Stafon Johnson as the guy to take some of the pressure off of CJ2K. It is well known that our running game works better with several backs performing well creating more space for CJ and creating more fatigue in the opposing defence. Roy Helu has had a fine career with the Cornhuskers, finishing in their top five career rushing list. Helu ran for 1,245 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, on the way ammassing four 100 yard rushing games. With stats like that you can't really pass on him in the seventh round.

What do you guys think of this draft? Does it fill all our needs adequately?

Here's my plan (for this week :))

Round 1 - DaQuan Bowers. The BEST DE in the draft. I've seen him going #1, and I've seen him falling to the Vikings. It IS possible for him to fall. Just imagine Bowers and Morgan combo for years to come. That would be amazing.

Round 2 - Martez Wilson. As a huge Illini fan, I've seen this guy play alot. He's a tackling MACHINE. At 6'4 250 he can play any position, most people have him as a 3-4 ILB, but he can play MLB 4-3 (if tulloch leaves) or 4-3 OLB (to replace McRath or Witherspoon). He would be a great pick.

Round 3 - DeAndre McDaniel. Lets just say... bye bye Chris Hope(less). That simple. McDaniel could be a starter game 1.

Round 4 - Traded for Matt Flynn, we also sign Packers QB Coach for our OC.

Round 5 - RB (Helu, Royster, or Clay)
    Round 6 - TE (3rd string)
    Round 7 - DE

Absolutely Love it. I'm gonna tinker it slightly later.

    1.Von Miller OLB Texas A & M
    2.Marvin Austin DT North Carolina
    3.Colin Kaepernick QB Neveda
    4.JERON JOHNSON SS Boise State
    5.JAKE KIRKPATRICK C TCU
    5.(vy) SIONE FUA DT Stanford
    6.JOSH BYNES ILB Auburn
    6(comp) LEE SMITH TE Marshall
    7.Roy Helu RB

Reboot the defensive line, with two big lads in Fua(probably a reach in the 5th) and Austin(steal).
Add a tough inside lb in Bynes.
We need a TE late on and Lee Smith has potential as a blocker, get rid os Scaife.
I prefer Johnson to Keo at SS
Kirkpatrick is a leader and can start at Centre from day one.
