If Peyton manning and the Colts were still in it, they might be playing in their dome away from all that snow...wait...Manning lost.

Sorry about that, ut homers. Just like he lost the Heisman to Woodson.

Actually, Gunny, we should refer him back to a Vanderbilt forum....this guy is a Vandy homer "feeling his oats" for the first time in decades.

After Cutler chokes next week he will be long gone...

I do think the state of the Titans franchise would better today if we had taken Cutler. Hindsight...

Since dbc keeps bumping this thread, I will defer comment until he answers my question from a few pages back.

The same could be said if The Titans would have traded that pick for a bottle of YooHoo.

Even though I lean towards agreeing with you that Fisher would have taken Leinart, there is ZERO proof that Fisher truly felt that way unlike Adams wanting VY.

Who's to say how Leinart would have turned out with the Titans? Heck, we hear every day how great Young would be if he was with another team. Which is it?

My point is I knew without a doubt on draft day 2006 that Young was the wrong choice. Hoge knew it. He said it would be the dismantling of a franchise and he was right.

I know it's worth next to nothing but it's still worth more than the thousands of posts here that get closed and buried and no one has to eat crow when they're wrong.

If your opinion is strong enough that you have to post it on a website you should have to revisit it when it turns out wrong.

Nice dodge. Now answer the question. Would you be loving Cutler so much if the foil here was Leinart instead of VY?

Based on what I saw from Leinart (in a much more friendly passing environment, with Bolden and Fitzgerald, and Warner to mentor him), there is NO QUESTION that he would have failed anywhere he went (except for Paris Hilton's hotel room apparently), so this "who knows how he would have turned out elsewhere" comment is nothing but a copout.

By the way, I supported VY early on, and I was WRONG. I just want folks to be somewhat honest here.
