For him to vault to that level, I would want to see how he did in the practices, but also how he performs in the game. He did not exactly light up the world in the W/L record category in college. Yes, that may be related to supporting staff as well, but still, I want to see how he performs in a game situation with other college stars first.

I would also want to see him really show out at the combine before coming close to calling him a franchise QB, much less worthy of a top ten pick.

I am sorry, I am just not seeing this right now. I agree that there are no QBs in this draft worth a top ten pick...

John Elway had a losing record in college too. Just saying.

Understand, and that is why I really want to see how he does in the actual Senior Bowl game, as well as the practices. I agree that the W/L record is not the "end all be all" of evaluation metrics, but it is a metric to consider.

He needs to show it in the game when everyone is going full speed to vault into the top 10. If the draft were held today, there would be a chance he would slide to us in round 2, and I'd be more then fine with him there as personally I see him as the best QB in this draft. I love his attitude, arm strength, mobility, etc. But his showing this season was pathetic. He consistently folded against good Ds (Nebraska twice and Stanford). Ive watched him enough to know the talent around him was less then adequate as well, his oline couldn't block, his WRs couldn't get open, and even when they did, they dropped a lot of passes. That is why his showing in the game is so important, if he can show that when the talent on his side is anywhere close to as good as the D he can make plays, then he can vault into the top 10. Showing it in practice or in the combine with shorts on does nothing for me. I should note that I am less interested in his #s in the game then I am the decisions he makes both in what WR to go to and when to tuck in run. With his oline being so bad he developed a habit of taking off too early this year.

Eddy...Elway is actually a good comparison to Locker talent wise. Ive got him rated as the top QB in this class, and its really not close. The only thing keeping him out of my top 10 right now is how he does in the Senior Bowl. A good showing there and you will see me start pushing for him at #8.

Since you have no ability to be a comedian, I would add that he nearly had a pick six on his second or third drive, except for the Titan like stone hands play of a Seahawks defensive player.

Next week he plays a real NFL defense. Lets see how many stat updates you do then...

It's Seattle.... And I think it's the first time anyone on the Seahawks has seen snow on a football field. That D looks like absolute garbage as does the O.
