    Lame.

Life is what you make of it. College years were great for me. But "the best years of my life"... please. There is no reason college has to be "the best years" of anyone's life.

Maybe he values his education more than sports, or maybe he doesn't feel that he is ready for the NFL. Either way the kid's gonna make his money at some point in his life.

It's about the conference because being as good as he is, you'd think he'd want to hone in on the better competition to ready himself for pro ball (if that's where his dreams are), but since he chose not to participate in the NFL JV league, he can't be too concerned with his football future. It's not like his family all went to Stanford. His dad played football at West Virgina, so from that I've concluded he's more interested in becoming an engineer than a football player. Andrew Luck also knows if he holds out for the Titans to go 3-13 in 2011, he'll get drafted by Bud Adams. I mean Luck does have ties to Houston if you didn't know.

Why does he have to justify it? It's his decision. He probably knew if Harbaugh left they would hire from within the program and things wouldn't change drastically.

I love how people criticize the kid for staying in school.

It's pretty obvious to me too. Money is only everything to those who don't have any. Luck will be just fine if he waits another year. Newton and Fairley have to skip their senior year if they want to get paid, their degrees in study hall won't get them paid in the real world. I'm really surprised how many people are puzzled by this move.

I applaud this guy more than anything. He goes against the norm and the popular recommendations to just get paid and be the #1 pick. I am impressed with this guy's commitment and dedication to meet his own personal goals. I understand the thinking that these guys are fools for not taking the most money they can while they can but there is way too much uncertainty with the NFL right now.

I wasn't one of the people who saw Joey Montanya's second coming in Luck but I have all the more respect and admiration for him as a man.
